| Toby is getting aggressive with new pup.... Toby is 10 months Got Maisie on Sunday and she is 11 weeks. They are getting on great most of the time, playing and chasing each other. Toby was very territorial for the first two days, not letting Maisie near his food, bed or toys. Now she can take the toys off him, and can growl at him if he tries to take it off her. He also warns her off at times, when she tries to take toys off him. I know they will sort the pecking order out themselves, and the trainer has said to leave them to it, and try not to intervene. Sometimes though, he will get really aggressive towards her, more than a warning. He jumps on her, barking viciously. I am pretty sure he is making contact. My husband lifted Toby up to break them up, and Toby had a grip of Maisie at that stage. I am not leaving together unsupervised, but I am worried that he will hurt her. Is this normal, how long will it last, and what should I do about it??
