| Making cookies, need help! (ot) This is completely off topic and I'm sorry! But I need some help and can't think of anyone to ask so I figured someone here might know. I'm making chocolate chip cookies (the chips are chocolate and peanut butter swirls) and I was sure that I followed the instructions exactly. However, I just took the first batch out of the oven and they spred WAY to much and are incredibly thin. I don't know what I did wrong! I have to have these for tomorrow and I'm not sure how to fix it. Anyone have any idea what went wrong?? Thank you!!!

| Also, if you use light butter, it has more water and will cause the cookies to be thinner. If the cookie recipie calls for butter or shortening - use shortening because butter cooks flatter too.

| Also, don't grease the pan....I like to use foil-lined pans, less clean-up. Make sure the oven is the right temp, too. Adding flour will probably work, too, but if you put too much, you better add a little more baking soda. Good luck! |

| Did you melt the butter too much? That makes a big difference in the way your cookies turn out. |

| Mmmm....I love chocolate chip cookies and I can't eat just one. From Jesscruz "ahh man...now i want cookies!!! and i can't because i am on a diet " Try Dr. Kronkite's diet. You can eat cookies on that diet because they are actually vegetables....
