| Yorkies: how fast do they run? Has anyone ever clocked the speed of a sprinting Yorkie? |

| I have never clocked mine. They have different speeds depending on why they are running. Being chased by the other four, very very fast! Running for dinner to be first in line, exceptionally fast! Running out the doggie door to escape being the next "volunteer" for tubby time....smoking!

| No, but I know mine run fast!! That is something to do on a weekend, go to the track with a stopwatch and see how fast they run. My two can be at the end of the street before I know they are out the door. I know from experience not to let them out without a leash and me on the other end of the leash! For small dogs with short legs they are quick!!! I have learned to call them then turn the other way, they usually follow. That hardly ever fails, it's just the turning the other way, I try to run backwards so that I don't take my eyes off of them. I know that looks pretty stupid, but I don't want to take my eyes off of them in case they don't follow me.
