Thank you for posting that. I choked back a huge lump in my throat when
I read that. I will never give up hope that someday he will be in my arms again. I just have gotten to a point where I need to live again. My life has pretty much been a wreck since November 15th.
I have had some laughs of course. But the memories are vivid and fresh.
If I knew where he was exactly I would risk anything to get him back.
I'm just a mom missing her baby. That is exactly how I feel and exactly how I would be if one of my own kids was missing. You dont get over it EVER until there is closure.
I cant imagine how Mary (Yoshi'smom) has dealt with this for over a year. I guess when you dont have a choice you just have to get up in the morning and live which is what I've been trying to do.
Ive told Richard the day that my baby is back. I will have to Call him and tell him to let everyone know here first.

I thank God for all of you here. I am physically alone doing what I can do from here. I know there are many,many people who feel he will return and I'm the first. It's just a matter of how soon.

I know you have done everything possible but I will jus pu this out in case. Could you pepper all media, laundramats, vets offices etc with "Have you bought a small yorkie since ????. If so and it turns out to be my dog, I will pay X amount to get it back and no questions asked>". Just finding the person who has her is the question. Our prayers are with you both and know Cookie is eating, playing,& not in the pain that we suffer. Thank God it is the human condition and not theirs. I used to leave my little one with my Mom and he would only look for me the first week and then settle in with her. Following her around, barking and protecting her, etc. Nature protects them I suppose. That would help me when I had to be away for weeks. But when I came home he would not give her any attention. She would get so mad because she was bonding with him and him with her but he did not forge me>>>> God bless us all and our relationships with our little ones. I just know God will have all my pets of a lifetime waiting in heaven for me. What a big homecoming that will be. I have so many that I took in over a lifetime. Once Basset Hound that was neutered, groomed, nails and all. Put ads in papers all over. I already had 3 Basset Hounds... Never figured that one out.. Just scratched at our frontdoor one day and joined our family.

A lady's yorkie was taken from a gas station in FL.
She offered a $5,000 reward for her beloved yorkie back.
The following day a woman saw a newspaper ad for a yorkie for sale.
She said the picture resembled the one on the flyers.
She got the dog and the yorkie owner paid her the $5,000

By the way I've been talking to the woman who's dog named Havana was found after 6 months. The woman just took the dog and kept because she was instantly in love with the dog! She said everything I've been going through is exactly how she felt.

I found this on our Craigslist yesterday and thought of Gen and Cookie too. After two months this dog was returned.....keep the faith!

Oh Gen, I am so glad you spoke with Havana's mom. I know you have had a strugle with the feelings you were having and were concerned if you were just losing it or not, so now you know, it must be part of the griveing process, and you must still be sane!!! LOL

Up here in northern Minnesota we have been alerted about a gang of theives that are stealing dogs. They have even been so brazen as to go onto a porch and steal the dogs. No dog is really safe up here. Since I normally tie my babies up and let them in the yard, I have been standing on the porch watching them. I'm glad the weather has warmed up so I'm not freezing.

Gen, you know my prayers are that you and your dear Cookie are reunited soon. Holler if you need anything.

Yes , I realize I'm not insane lol. My 13 yr old has noticed it the most though.
The other night she just finally talked to me about Cookie and how much this has changed me. I had to drag it out of her but she finally just told me " I havent told you anything because I know how hard this has been on you but you are a different person since November" I told her that I agreed and I struggle daily with just trying to be the same mom and wife I've always been.


My mom actually liked the tattoo and told me she just understands everything just by looking at what that symbolizes. A heart and a blue pawprint inside it. He will always be in my heart.

I haven't posted here in a while, but it's been a real chase behind the scenes. I don't think Genie will mind, but we know where Cookie was in early January, several of their neighbors gave them up. But then they disappeared. They were traced but no sign of Cookie when they were found. I wish I could have been there.

LOL!! Yesterday my wife said to me "So, when are you going to Florida to find that dog? If I come home and you're gone at least I know where you are and what you're doing."

This isn't a search anymore, it's down to an interrogation and the one person who has the answer that would tell us where he is won't talk. God help you Junie. Where is your heart?

I only have one idea left up my sleeve.

I wish you the best of luck in your serch for Cookie. He needs to be home. He has a family. How heartless of someone to keep someone elses pet. How do they sleep knowing that someones heart is broken? I just don't understand. Bless you for helping to find this little one. Gen I think of you and Cookie often. I have another story of hope for you. I just met a couple at the my local dog park and they told me that their little Chihuahua was stolen and returned after 8 months. They had given the dog a bath and let him out to potty after. The ID tags were still off at this time. Well they had an unlocked gate and the dog got out. They realized this pretty quickly and immediately went out to look for it. We live in a community that has lots of new construction under way and they had workers all around. They asked around and even spoke to the Foreman and no one said they saw the dog. After months of putting up signs and posters everywhere and even offerng a reward they finally got a break. Someone left a note on their door saying I know where your dog is. Turns out one of the workers took him and his coworker knew of it. The coworker left the note and got their dog back for them. I guess guilt finally set in. I know you will get Cookie back. I just hope it is soon. Hang in there.
