Yes they have pictures but I had to email the manager in charge of that. I told him that Animal Control says that they take a picture of every cat or dog that they get and post it online and that it was not their office's responsibility to do this job , it was another department. I asked him then why is it that the last dog found was like 3 weeks ago? Well within like 2 hrs the website was updated with an additional 20 dogs or so! I was honest and told them if it's not your job to do this then someone is not doing their job. Supposably they have people incharge of doing just that.

Honestly I dont like going to the Humane Society here. I go in there and sometimes I get a roll of the eyes like " you again???, we dont have a yorkie still" is the response. Well I still ask to do a walkthrough. Im not bothering anyone, I just go and walk the halls and go home.
This place has had many complaints. The last one was a volunteer that called my number on the flier. She let me know that she worked at that Humane Society and too many times the dogs were not scanned. She turned in a stray she found and asked them to make sure it was scanned.
The owner showed up giving them the chip info and they told her no that there were no matches. Well her dog was sitting in the back a few hrs before someone remembered . She did get her dog back but was turned away the first time she went

I can imagine it can be stressful working in this place. And so many animals go there and get put down that I guess they get desensitized after a while. There are always good hearted people working in those places Ifeel but Isee many grumpy people when I go there too.

Hello Gen it sounds like I need to call your local shelter, shelter personnel are supposed to show compassion, to the public and to the animals to many times they disregard the reason they are there, could I please have the number!

Sandy did you get my private message ? I sent both numbers of Humane Society and Animal Control for Port Saint Lucie. Not everyone had the "I'm too busy to help" attitude but man last time I went and I asked to do a walkthrough , they didnt even call a guide to take me or to fill anything out. The lady just said through the door and make a left go to building B and C

I ask for any yorkies that come in and they tell me "Nope , we dont get yorkies" or " you should try knocking door to door because most yorkies are kept by neighbors" umm if they only knew how far I've walked knocking door to door. But I understand it was good advice anyway.

It's funny because the people that actually took a moment to show concern,take my flier, show sympathy were the Animal Control officers that I stopped on their way to their work trucks. Those officers 1 male and 2 female officers were like "omg he is adorable! aww hon I'll keep this flier in the car" the male officer just turned to jello when I showed him Cookie's flier, just saying awwww I know people often want to keep the little cute ones like this. He said from his experience ...once the dog starts having potty accidents or gets sick these people dont want them and fall out of love quickly and end up calling animal control. It's just the office people that are not too friendly from what I experienced.

This morning I found a small yorkie at my back door. The pet is chipped but the chip has not been registered and none of the local vets have his number logged. It was found in the vacinity of Alladdin BLVD. I would estimate that its been out for 3 to 7 days. I currently feeding and taking care of it while we attempt to locate it's owners. 13 months ago, our beloved yorkie girl went missing. We did everything including post on here. There was a huge reward offered and no response. Last week, our girl was taken into the Halifax Humane Society and they scanned her!! Our prayers were answered and she is home with her family. We want to thank the person that took her in, the Halifax Humane Society for doing the right thing and Avid for making it possible for her to find her way home!!! Welcome home Charlie Woo!!!

Yesterday my kids and I saw a tiny, dirty little dog on Karl Road between Calgary and Alpine Drive. A woman was trying to coax it to her but it was backing away under some bushes and barking at her like crazy. I thought it was perhaps her dog but it was acting very aggressive. Today we saw the same dog in the same area on the other side of the road running towards the woods with no person in site. The dog is very tiny, black and brown with scruffy Yorkie-type fur.

Darn I've been gone for a few days...but I haven't stop thinking and praying for Cookie to come home. Sorry to see that he has not. I still believe he is very near to you...and that he will show up soon.
Suggestion: Could you possibly ask a friend to put and ad in the paper looking to buy an adult male Yorkie...and see if they get any responders. Of course you will go with your friend to possibly buy a Yorkie...just imagine if it turns out to be Cookie. I think this could work, maybe give it a try.
Remember, Cookie is not alone...God is with him...he'll watch over him and protect him.

I spent HOURS last night when I couldn't sleep Googling every combination of lost yorkie, found yorkie, yorkie for sale, florida, orlando, miami...everything that I could think of. I found essentially the same ads, none of which were promising. I'm so sorry

All it did was make me really nervous for my dog's safety when I saw all those lost/stolen Yorkie ads from the Miami area...even though most are south of me, I still worry...in fact, I think I convinced my fiance to reactivate our security system just because of our dog...everything else we own is replaceable through insurance...

I'll keep looking and searching for you...

That baby you took in is so cute, you have such a big heart!

I been working a lot of overtime this week, but check 5 or 6 times a day to see if Cookie is home. Last night I stopped to get gas and seen a truck with a yorkie in it. It was in the womans lap looking out the window. My first thought was of Cookie and how hard you have been looking for him. I know TN is a long way from Fl but I think of you and Cookie many times throughout the day. Every time I get a text from this thread I have to stop and see who has replied to it. When I see that it is Gen I just know that Cookie is home. I know God is going to answer our prayers and send Cookie home. The hard part for me sometimes is waiting on the answer. But we have to remember it will be in his time not ours. This has happen for a reason. We don't know what it is yet, but you and Cookie have touched so many peoples life. I better get off of here and get to work. I'm on my blackberry at work. I just wanted to let u know u and Cookie are in my thoughts and prayers.

I found essentially the same ads, none of which were promising. I'm so sorry All it did was make me really nervous for my dog's safety when I saw all those lost/stolen Yorkie ads from the Miami area...even though most are south of me, I still worry...in fact, I think I convinced my fiance to reactivate our security system just because of our dog...everything else we own is replaceable through insurance... I'll keep looking and searching for you... That baby you took in is so cute, you have such a big heart!

You're gone from site but not from mind. your in my heart you will be found. I'm praying my love God will bring you home. we checked all the shelters. the roads and the neighbors. My love for you is what keeps me strong I love you so much , I just want you home Your place Ill hold , you must be found. I miss you so. even that little snoring sound. the fur I stroked the nose I kissed. I miss your smell , I miss your licks I miss you so it hurts so much. My baby I'm searching I want you home In my arms once again is where you belong. I put up flyers. I made many calls I've walked these streets, I'm not alone. I've drove to places , I've checked all ads. I even talked to a psychic It hurts so much, I feel so lost. Cookie my baby you stay strong. don't you worry and don't you stress God will watch over you until your found. Well keep on praying for god to bring you home. I've cried many nights we have lit many candles I just need a new lead. I beg and I plead.
