I have not posted on this thread, but I've been reading. You are constantly in my thoughts and prayers. I lost my past yorkie, Maddie, twice. Once the day she came home, and another time when some friends of ours were watching her. Thank God, she came home both times. I have a very good feeling in my heart that Cookie will be returned to you. :love:

I hope that I at least get to see that yorkie tomorrow being walked.Because now those homes have my flyer and if they do have them they might not want to walk him.

I may be over analyzing things but when I was in those blocks today. I saw a few people getting out of their car and stuff so I would stop in front and wave them down and give them a flyer. All of a sudden this big black kid talking on his cell came out of his house and walked toward my car like waiting for me to give him the paper that I was taping to mailboxes. NO ONE just walked up to mycar and put their hand out tosee what I was handing out but he just opened hisfront door, not to go into his car, not to go check the mail but like to see why mycar was parked in the street...
Might be another coincidence , I dont know. The thought jumped into my mind when I remembered the lady saying that the little girl was black. Maybe that was the house. I dont remember the house number but it was within 1-2 blocks of where the girl was seen.

Someone tried to steal Shilo once, the only reason I got her back was because I followed my gut. I was walking down the street and felt like I needed to go to the industrial park behind my house, sure enough second office I walked into there she was! The lady said she was going to call but she didn't know the area code, RIGHT! But follow your gut even if it seems crazy it might help! My prayers are with you!

I have been following this sad story and I feel really bad for you. I have been praying very hard. I don't quite understand the the reasoning for mentioning the race of the kids. Describing a child as a big black kid. Not necessary.

I meant no disrespect to anyone believe me. If it was hispanic and the other older child was hispanic I was just trying to make sense if it was a coincidence. My family has many races so this was not intended as an insult to anyone. My focus is to write down all the facts and details as much as possible. My brain right now is on auto pilot. I've even told people " I have a large...and what Iwas trying to say was my yorkie is missing and am offering a large reward" I will leave it at that. My only focus is getting my furbaby back before he becomes symptomatic and may require urgent medical care.

Gen, I too have been following this from the start. I have not posted many times, but I have been thinking of Cookie, and I kid you not, I have had two dreams about you finding him already. (One was in the storm drains, maybe b/c I had a dream like that before, but this time it was Cookie. The other time was someone calling you.) You are such a strong person. I know you will find him. :hug:

I've been following this thread from day one and I feel I need to make a few opinions on what's been going on with Cookie.
I feel really bad for what you've been going through but need to say my feeling about your search.
I've posted here on this thread a number of time giving you information but never felt you were reading any of my posts. I recommended you contact the police, radio, tv stations and city council meeting held in your area from the beginning. You didn't act on these idea's until later in the threads. I just don't understand.
Many people have shown their kindness in sending you money to help find Cookie and I have to commend them for having such gently hearts. I also have to acknowledge all the wonder people on this site for taking the time and effort for supplying site information and spending time online to help find Cookie.
I've owned Yorkies for the last 19 years and know this breed.
Yorkie's are different, they are a very special breed. My children had different breeds while gowning up but Yorkie's are a breed all to themselves.
They are in fact like a small child. They need extra care and protection because of their size and the fact they are in demand. Especially, if you have a little one under 4 lbs. Breese is very fragile and I have to take extra care with her.
What I've learned:
Hawks, Coyotes and Owls are known to carry off small animals at any time of the day or night. When Tuffy was alive, I had a hawk swoop down on her at the park. It happens and if it wasn't for me being with her, she would be gone. This was in the middle of the day. I was picking up Punken and a hawk flew over my shoulder, I turn my head and was looking at him straight on. One scary day to be sure.
They are never allowed outside alone either in the front or back yard without someone being present and close at all times.
Instead of wondering if this is your Yorkie and taking matter's into your own hands, call the police, let them talk to this women. I'm sure you have her phone number from earlier conversations with her. Give this information to the police and they will check and see if this is Cookie. I know.. I know law enforcement, let's leave it at that. Never take matters into your own hands when this could be in fact this little girls dog. Considering, Cookie was last seen in your backyard, the police can make a report of lost or stolen. Was this done?

I am wide awake ...still thinking . I got to sleep about 4 hrs.
A police report was made.About contacting tv stations and the radio. That's been done.If it's not a strong enough story for them, they will not air it. Believe me I spilled my guts to them. The only station that could help is a local cable channel that just shows the upcoming garage sales and other announcements, that channel is not viewed by many I think, because it wasnt until this happened that I heard about it In fact I called dozens of reporters plus countless staff writers. The popular radio stations do not air lost or stolen pet announcements, I asked how much was airtime costs and that's not the issue.They will air a local small business commercials. I owe more than what was donated
The lady that called me has only called me once and that was lastnight so I havent had more than one coversation with her.

The reason why I keep thinking about that call is because of yesterday when I drove by there. I would drive and leave my car emergency lights blinking and get out and go to at least 2 houses on each side.
I was talking to people that live on that block and once I moved to the next house. This kid opens his door before I even set foot on his driveway and just walked toward the car to get whatever I was handing out. He didnt proceed to go into his car or check the mail, he just went straight back into the house. Only after getting that call did I think that maybe he saw me knocking on his neighbor's doors and he came out before I could ring their bell.
