My yorkies don't do this but my shih-tzu does. It has something to do with his glands...I asked the vet. Sorry I can't remember exactly what he told me. Cute as ever!!

My Lulu has been sticking her tongue out since she was 6 mos. old. It first started when I reprimanded her for bad behavior. She looked at me and stuck her tongue out! She is now 5 yrs. old and sticks it out while she sleeps. If I'm talking to her and she doesn't understand what I am trying to tell her, (you got it) she sticks her tongue out. It is so funny and I love it!

My boy sticks his tounge out all the time. He sleeps that way sometimes. It is so cute.
