My little guy Bogie is right at 1 year old. His coat is very cottony. I was wondering if the Biewer was similar to the Yorkie in that they might have a silk or cotton coat. Also would his adult coat already be in. He was 8 mos when we got him and was cut short and we are letting his hair grow out. I was just curious to know. He is such a sweetheart and so playful. We just love this little guy.

The coat of the Biewer should be silky like the yorkie, but just like yorkies they come in all different sizes and coats.

As Wendy said...biewers can have either coat but I have yet to see many biewers with a true FINE silk coat like a yorkies...silky texture and straight but definitely not as fine. And yes, by a year old...his adult coat should be come in a great deal. He will continue to change colors as he matures too

That might explain Jordy's coat. His rarely mats and doesn't feel like a cotton coat. But it's just not as 'fine' as Chelsea's or Alex's. I've been wondering about that. Thanks!
