| I live in Florida. I bought Leili in Miami and I paid $1,800 for her when she was 3 months old. She is now 2 years old and weighs 7.3 lbs. I bought Leili on line sight unseen but I was very, very lucky as Leili has been very healthy, and has a very cute and sweet face. I also want to mention that Leili was not registered but I did get health guarantee papers and shot records when I got her. Also she was checked by a certified vet 4 days before I picked her up. I am owned by Leili and consider myself the luckiest yorkie owner in the world. I will never buy another yorkie again without seeing her/him and without checking out the breeder first. Cathy |

| Ralphie was $1500-show quality and the very best blood lines ( Drurrer and Rothby). I have seen AKC for about $850 to $1000- but for a good guarentee, I would go up to what I paid. Also, check out http://www.ytca.org/breeder3.html This will hopefully give you the better breeders in your area.

| I did all the research I could do, which included the YTCA, AKC, websites, word of mouth, etc. I paid $800 for Chloe, who is registered, cute as a bug but not show quality and is a little larger than I wanted, at 6lbs (or a little over now) and I paid $2500 for Lacey, who is also registered, but has a champion sire, also cute as a bug but not show quality either. However, Lacey is very small at 3 lbs, delicate boned, short legged with a straight back, so it is clear when you look at Lacey that she has the stronger yorkie bloodline. I fell in love with her so did not think to ask why she wasn't show quality but the breeder was very up front about that. She has thin hair on top, perhaps that's why. Both dogs came with guarantees from obviously loving, wonderful homes. I visited both and could not be happier, each dog has her own wonderful qualities and I never planned to show them anyway. I was not aware of this website when I bought mine, so I have some leads from here that will be helpful when I get my third one. I'm in NE Fl, but I got Chloe from Atlanta. |

Someone mentioned earlier that the teeny tiny ones aren't recognized by the AKC" and that is not true. The breed standard states the ideal is any yorkie under 7 lbs but that doeesn't mean they don't "recognize" those that are larger and as long as the puppy comes from AKC parents the AKC recognizes them as far as I know. | |

| In Alabama I have sold my yorkies from $500 to $1500. My yorkies go with full rights and are AKC with champion blood lines in my stud. I am very picky about who get these babies. My babies range in size from 2.5lbs to 6lbs.

| I paid 1200 for Toffee. Yorkies can get pricey. Good luck on finding the perfect one. |
