If you're asking only $150, I think it's obvious who's being unreasonable and that is NOT you. Somebody who is truely looking for a dog will be willing to pay for it. $150 is a small return for all the time and money it costs to raise puppies.
Good luck!

PS we woulnd't mind pictures . . .

Here are the pictures of my babies. The dark black puppy that is looking down is the only boy. My mom is keeping one of the chocolate girls. They are all very sweet and love people. I was hoping that I could place them with people I know so I could be sure that they would be well cared for but as of now that does not seem like an option so I will be very picky about their forever home. I am going to have them sign a contract similar to a rescue type contract.

Thanks !! I hope to find loving homes for all of them. I feel so responsible for their wellbeing. I watch them play without a care in the world and I pray they will have that security for the rest of their life.

I don't know where you are trying to rehome them, like where you post an ad or anything.. But I know for example on craigslist.org pet section a lot of people look for the 'free' or cheaper rehoming fee prices to either breed for $$ or resell for $$ on other sites.

So it's probably a good sign that you have someone/s who turn away at your $150 price. Because honestly? That is a cheap rehoming fee.

The humane society here is about $200 to adopt as well as the county animal services shelter, and there are some really cheaper foster care type rescues but there is this other shelter that charges $300. So really you are doing good on the adoption fee you are asking. It's not so cheap that you could be potentially rehoming to a person who might not 'look' like they will be breeding or reselling or something bad (cuz they look for the cheaper adoptions), and it's not so expensive as most shelters too.

Just market them to the dumb....instead of mixed breed...rare shi-poos, exotic small puppies for the price of $150...similar breeds sell for up to $1000...people will buy them---just screen out the crazy---I would love them in a good home.

Thumbs up

this might sound crazy, but maybe yiu didnt charge enough, you could change your approach, list them as designer dohs and ask 400.00 per pup. I bet they will go like hot cakes. Try an ad, Are they 8 weeks with 1st shots? Good luck and please keep us opsted.

I paid almost 700 bucks for my mixed breed ( yorkie/chihuahua ) so I don't think you are being unreasonable at all!

1st let me say I understand that she was pregnant when you got her from the shelter and you are a kind person for doing this, so this statement is not for you but this is the reason why everyone needs to spay and neuter your pets. Don't belive people when they say "I would take one of your puppies!" because most of the time they back out. That is why the shelters are so full. As far as money.. I just got Reggie from a shelter and I payed 100.00 for him but the way I see it I got him for nothing as they had him neutered, and all shots done. But as we all know nothing is free. I took him to my vet just to make sure he is fine and it cost me 95.00 So I would just look for GOOD homes for your little ones and then get your girl spayed.

Or...have the puppies spayed/neutered before leaving your home and have the new owners reimburse you for that cost so you know it's done and you aren't contributing to the overpopulation pet problem too and that's all I have to say about that!

I might have some options for this. This is what I was thinking because you just can't trust anyone these days.

Thnak you for undersatnding that I did not breed her. I am like you and believe there are too many animals needing homes to ever bring more into this world. Actually we had an appointment to get he spayed when we discovered her pregnancy. She was so far along that it would havae been dangerous for her to go forward with the spay. Others will disagree but after talking to a few vets I concluded that I would not take that risk as we have fallen so deeply in love with momma that we could not risk her life. We are counting the days for her spay.
