I'm sorry you're going thru this. Before reading your whole post, I was going to suggest exercise but it seems they get quite a bit of that. Besides everything else already posted, the only thing I can suggest is MORE exercise? Maybe since, like you said, eating raw causes an increase in energy so maybe he's just itching to burn off that extra energy. I would suggest a long walk every single day, rather than every other day if possible. Maybe an hour walk per day. I know Jackson is one year old and has a ton of energy, and when he doesn't get at least 1 hours worth of exercise a day, he begins to chew things he shouldn't, etc. I can tell it's purely out of boredom.

I wonder if this particular dog might be allergic to the raw food that you are feeding. Why not go back to what you were feeding him before for several days to see if he calms down. One dog can be allergic where another one is not.

Have you tried bully sticks or peanut butter in a kong? Both of these will keep Bonnie busy for a long time.
Also, how about puzzle toys or a treat ball?

Well I've gotten some really great suggestions both here and on other forums (although you guys were SO much nicer

) so we've been working on that.. he has been better! We are making a conscious effort to walk every day (if we can) and/or have some really stimulating playtime. We also have been feeding more. I've seen some slight improvements so we're taking it one day at a time! I haven't been nearly as frustrated as I was when I posted that. I'm thinking it was a phase that's slowly going away.

Also we did find a ton of flea poop/fleas on him that I think he got from daycare (ick I know!). And while the behavior started before he went to daycare I think maybe some of the drastic parts of his behavior can be attributed to that. We have since bathed in Dawn and used Frontline Spray.. hopefully we got all of them.

I hired a trainer to help me train my dog and she explained that small dogs are more fearful than you may even recognize and some of this behavior sounds like the dog is very fearful. Some dogs will chew and urinate when they are stressed or fearful. Also she says if a dog regresses to behavior that you do not like you just start over and retrain. they are mousers so that is a very good theory.

is he doing anything else? Does he go to the bathroom more than usual? The going round is circles is what is concerning. is he eating ok?

Just a thought but could a neigbour maybe have a bitch who's recently come into season? Males can pick the scent up from some distance and even neutured dogs can react. Rosie has been in season recently and it drove Alfie mad.

i was thinking perhaps lime disease it can cause this type of behavior change!!!

Did you switch to the raw diet "cold turkey" or did you introduce the raw meat gradually, feeding a little at first along with the kibble and then gradually increasing the raw and decreasing the kibble? It could be a tummy ache from the diet change. Or possibly an internal parasite from the raw meat?
