| Newbie time! Hi everyone! Yep, I have been a posting-but-still-lurking member for a while now. I hesitated to introduce myself because I kept thinking that my addiction to Yorkie Talk was a reflection of the novelty of my new puppy. Out of respect for others, I wanted to make sure I was going to stay involved if I got involved, does that make sense? Well, I can’t tell you how much I look forward to reaching for my computer these days! There are so many knowledgeable, supportive, and compassionate people on this website; I can’t imagine not visiting with you all regularly any more than I can imagine life without my new baby, Daisy. I live in Kansas City, and am a stay-at-home Mom with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work. I have had pets my entire life……an ever constant cat presence, plus a Golden Retriever and Yorkie. First the Golden passed away, then we lost precious little Zeus just over a year ago. We were finally emotionally ready to adopt Daisy recently (born on 6/9/09). She joins our current household of myself (age 43), my daughter, Katie (age 11), 3 cats (traditional Siamese-Rosie, Maine Coon-Boots, and Persian-Snowflake), plus an adorable Chinchilla (Wilbur). Daisy is a tiny little girl, 1.7 lbs when she came ‘home’ at 13 weeks. This may sound odd, but I picked her specifically because she has an irregular, non-standard color pattern on her face…..she could be my Zeus’ little sister. That cute white chin, white chest, soft fur, and round tummy are just awesome! Who can explain true love, huh? New puppy and friends are all doing really well right now……playing, potty training….and boy, do Daisy and I love to shop for doggie supplies together, both on and off the internet! Help! I am really looking forward to getting to know all of you guys. ☺

| I am also new here... I just LOOOOOVVVVEEEE it here, there is a wealth of knowledge too. I brought my baby home on January 24 this year. He is so easy going and just goes with the flow. Well I think Rocky (my elder baby who is 2 and not a yorkie, shih-tzu) would beg to differ with me. There are times when Rocky wants to sleep or just rest and Nicky wants to play play play!! lol... What brough me here was, oh about a month or so ago my Nicky was outside just hanging out, he w,as stung by a yellow jacket!! freaked me out the poor baby. So I came online looking for answers and came apon this awesome place!! LOVE it!! Welcome aboard!! Hugs Angie and Nicky too

| An Offical Welcome to Yorkie Talk! You sound like such a kind and caring person. Little Daisy is lucky that you found and love her so much. These tiny dogs just find a way to get right to your heart. This is my first Yorkie [she is two now]. I've had other dogs and nothing compares to this sweet pup of mine. As you have seen, so many people feel the same way. I hope you'll enjoy making new friends for yourself, Daisy and your other pets too.

| Welcome Heather & Daisy! I would love to see pictures of all your babies together! My Daisy likes to shop online, too! She sits in her carry bag next to me at the computer and we shop, shop, shop!!! You will make lots of friends here. It is so much fun to hear about other Yorkies

| Thank you, everyone, for such a warm welcome! About that shopping habit......today Daisy and I discovered G.W. Little. I have become obsessed with cupcakes after seeing a member's puppy with her cupcake squeaky toy (the cutest thing ever). Guess who is going to be the proud owner of a cupcake collar? Yep. In a few days, I expect we'll be camped out by the mailbox!
