| You have to do the yorkie shuffle. We just don't pick out feet up when we walk. I have heard horror stories on here about someone stepping on their little one. Please be careful.

| We all do the Yorkie shuffle...we never pick up our feet....I will never forget when a members husband stepped on their little one and killed it....they have been other stories also...sad.... Just remember to always think about them being around your feet...all the time..

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I can't recall who gave the advice I read but it was somewhere here on Yorkietalk. We have a collar on Taffy for the sole purpose of the jingle bell on it. (I think I actually bought a breakaway cat collar with the bell already attached.) She is always walked, etc. with a harness and she has a microchip for id. However, the bell is our way of knowing where she's bouncing around at the moment. I can't imagine being able to manage her energy without the "alarm" system! |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Well, I apparently can't read this morning...that's what happens when you're still too sleepy to function. I NOW see where you have a bell on your baby. Hmmm...perhaps either the bell is not attached loosely enough or you might need to add another bell. (If the bell cannot move freely, you won't hear it.) If you can't find any other option, I'd put your puppy in some type of exercise pen or such for its own protection unless you are directly interacting. You just can't step on these little babies without consequence very often. Sounds like you have been very, very lucky. |
