| TV---dog advice shows I was just watching "It's Me or the Dog" for about the 20th time this month and was wondering if anyone else was equally obsessed? I watch this and other pet behavior shows to see if any training techniques are particularly appropriate to small breed dogs. (And I just love animals in general.) I am a previous Yorkie owner, now with a new puppy, but I feel like there is always more to learn. I thought it would be interesting to contribute tips we might have gained in this arena? For example, I love how Victoria Stillwell emphasizes the need to think like a dog, but I am not sure I agree with her stance on dog clothing. |

| I'm always watching those shows! Well, mainly the Dog Whisperer and It's Me or the Dog. Those are the two I like the most. Cesar is #1 is my book though I love constantly learning new things.

| Cesar is #1 in my book also. He also says you need to think like a dog. I have to warn you though, there are some people on here who are very passionate in their hate for Cesar. So don't be surprised if this thread goes bad. |

| I watch Victoria & Cesar, too. I see lots of It's Me or the Dog reruns though and wish she would tape some newer ones. I found her tip of turning your back on your puppy and crossing your arms when play gets too rough very useful. I also like to watch the transformations on From Underdog to Wonderdog.
