I thought what Nancy said pretty immature. Take a video of a dog hunmping his toys??. Why? I'm sure you can find plenty of them on the internet if that is how you amuse yourself.

It sounded like something a 13 year old boy would say, not a mature woman.

There was a thread on this same topic a while back.

The person posted that they had friends over and she told her guests to watch this, and brought out the dog and the object of his affection and they all watched and laughed as the dog humped this toy.

Now if you all find that entertaining, you have the mentality lof a 13 year old.

You correct other bad behavior , why would you not correct this behavior unless you find it amusing.

Apparently this is how some people entertain themselves, and to make sure their friends are entertained too, they take movies of it. See post # 41.

I raised two boys, my sense of humor is a lot like a 13 year old boy, I can't deny that. I do have to say, I think you are making a huge dealio out of this, I get it, you didn't appreciate my humor, and you think I'm immature, OK duly noted, but it's not like I'm pushing Yorkie porn. Seeing a little three-pound yorkie wrestle with a big red teddy bear is not disgusting to me, and it was one of the cutest things I've ever seen. I do not think it is funny for a dog to try to hump a human, this would be displaying inappropriate dominant behavior, and this can lead to biting humans, so humping humans should always be forbidden. :cheers:

You are too funny.......I understand your humor and did not for a minute think you condoned and would allow bad behavior on an ongoing basis.

I suppose I look at canine behavior from a breeder's standpoint and look at rather clinically, especially puppy behavior. My pups leave my home very socialized, well adjusted and without any unwanted behaviorial issues. I find nothing my pups do disgusting, as many pup and adult butts, vomit and after whelping clean up that I've had to do for my crew, it's all normal.

Tucker did this at 12 weeks. Several times to a toy, 2 times to me, 1 time to my daughter :eek: I didn't allow it EVER. Also, he was nutered a 6 months and he's the most submissive little thing you've ever seen ;)

WOW :eek: You have some attitude on you. My mother always told me if I dont have anything nice to say than I should leave my mouth shut... and thats what I am going to do. I can tell no matter what anyone says you will have to get the last word. Not really someone I want to talk to esp with that chip on your shoulder..... I find allowing dog to hump objects to be disgusting and to take videos of it and use it for entertainment to be very juvenile.

I was not being mean just stating my feelings, you on the other hand, are being mean.

Nancy is a big girl and has always been able to take care of herself, she does not need some youngster to come on here and start name calling to fight her battles for her.

I agree I don't think Nancy would allow bad behavior, but her comment wass very immature. The OP was looking for advice and was told to take videos of it. In the right context that would have been amusing, but as you can see, there are people who actually have taken videos of it.

As others have pointed out, it is really not the puppy that is being disgujsting, it is the humans that are laughing and enjoying the show tht are being disgusting an immature.

And for the record, I think eating poop and rolling on dead things is disgusting.

I clean up poop all day long, I wash poopy butts. I help with the whelping and find none of that disgusting. And I don't wear rubber gloves for any of it.

But taking videos of a dog humping their stuffed animals is disgusting and immature.

I find the people, who are using it for entertainment, disgusting. The dog is just doing what dogs do. But that does not mean it should not be corrected.

It can save you a lot of embarrassment if you teach them that it is not appropriate behavior.

I totally agree it is normal behavior, but it is not something that you have to allow. It is bad behvior and it can be stopped. Just tell them NO and remove the object. It's as simple as that.

There are two reasons given for people NOT wanting to buy the little boy puppies. One is MARKING the other is HUMPING.

They all know someone who had a male dog that humped everything and therefore they do not want a male.

If people would just correct the behavior, our "little boys" would not get such a bad rap.

So just correct the behavior and people will find your little boy to be as loveable as the little girls.
