well my puppy did this at 12 weeks old my daughter put some teddy bears on the ground and he started humping it.. i came on hers looking for answers as well
and i was shock as well. my daughter had no idear what he was doing but she new it looked nasty.. i was told never too give them toys biger then there heads
and too stop it asap.. i agree with a lot of yt that gave me this support..its not
good behavior and it needs too be stop asap.. i wouldnt allow this behavior..

You're right it is unwanted behavior. However, if you have a boy whose testicles need to be dropped and seated prior to nuetering, it assist in accomplishing this. Once that has been accomplished; the dropping and seating of testicles and nuetering it will correct itself.

I think that only a very immature mind would find this amusing or entertaining. There are enough disgusting videos out there, we do not need any more. If you need to see videos of dogs humping I'm sure you can find plenty if you google it.

Humping is “Bad Behavior” and should be addressed as such. Humping your leg or a stuffed animal is not sexual behavior. It is dominant behavior and definitely should not be allowed. If he or she, (yes females will do this too) is humping a toy or a blanket, simply tell them “No” and take it away. If he/she is humping you or another human, is displaying dominant behavior and showing disrespect. In that case you need to do some research on how to become the pack leader, because if allowed to continue they will begin to show other signs of dominance, if they haven’t already done so.

I agree that in an older pup this is bad behavior and should be corrected. On a pup this young it is not a dominance issue. As in children it is a discovery action.

As a breeder you know what the cost for nuetering a pup with cryptorchidism and at what age a pup's testes become seated.

It is bad behsvior in girls as well. Tell her to stop, and remove the object.

Breeding females will do this when one is in heat.

i'd have to agree it's not like they know any better and are trying to show off their PDA like humans do. they're just doing the natural thing God made them to do. sure i'd have them learn not to and take pleasure toys away from them to teach them, i mean you don't want company to see it someday and be embarrassed, but then again this is a baby puppy. he barely knows anything at this point and has a lot to learn and it's not that big a deal to let him do this when he's little and then neuter him when he's old enough. it's only a couple months away anyhow.

anyways, dogs aren't trying to cause a show, we humans just make it out to be like that in our minds. they're just doing what come natural to them

I agree, it is the humans that are being entertained by it that are disgusting.

Tell me that a dog eating poop is not disgusting, no matter how natural it is.

from what i've read that's actually NOT natural for them to do.

Well they do it, whether it is natural or not.

I was responding to the comment that dogs do not do disgusting things. I beg to differ.

They also catch and eat grasshoppers, and roll on dead animals and lick their behinds. all pretty disgusting behavior.

Tia is not in heat and never will be as she is spayed and she humps her teddy occasionally. I tell her NO and she stops immediately but there is no way I'm taking her teddy away , it is her comfort and she had it on day one.
Its really not a big deal, shocking at first and so long as it is not done to humans. Its a natural thing , its not dirty and it can be controlled.:D I don't see it as bad behavior , sorry.

well my best friend had a boyfriend that use too let his dog hump and it was just so nasty when you visit and the dog has a collection of teddy bear's and he's humping
all the animals right in youre face.. and after he's done he'll hump youre leg and if you dont let him he'll bite your ankles the whole house would laugh when lucky would hump his toys and i thought this is so sick
