Should I do it???? I have the opportunity to get Rily a baby sister!!! I get to see her on Thursday. She is 7 weeks old and weighs 12 oz. I won't be getting her until she is 12 weeks, but I need to decide soon. I want a baby girl, but Rily is only 6 months old.....should I do it now???? The lady is a wonderful breeder and I have seen some of her other puppies...one that is a full brother from another litter and he is gorgeous! I feel it is a great opportunity to get another one, but should I wait until Rily's is older? I work, but my husband is home and he is great with dogs. In fact he is a "puppy stealer." |
another baby It seems like yorkies are kind of addictive. Just like Lays potato chips you can't stop at one lol!:) Donna and Ginger |
I say go for it!! I would get another this instant if my apartments allowed more animals :p Do it! Yorkies are addicting... |

I would get another in a heartbeat if my husband would let us! My daughter is begging for one, but dad says no! Of course, he said no to getting Sophie too, but then gave in, and now spoils her just like the rest of us!!! Maybe there is still a chance!!! I say go for it! |
I got another when Cooper was six months old...best thing I ever did !! But, I do know this...if you go see this puppy, you will be getting the puppy!! :D:D You won't be able to help it!! The words "YES" will tumble out of your mouth the minute you see it!! :D:D |

I would say if you feel that you can train 2 at once go for it. :) We got Bella and Anakin at the same time and it is a bit harder because you have to take time for each one to train them...but it is worth it. |
i think my husband and I should get another one sometimes because we often hog the puppy during bedtime. she starts out cuddled up with one of us and if she starts by him i ALWAYS move her close to me once he falls asleep. i love having her warm body next to mine and i think two would make the bed a big more snug and warm for both of us ;) i'll just want to wait and see if we both want another one before too long. |

Double the fun! I'd go for it. |
I would get her!:) When you have more than one they can really entertain you! I laugh so hard at my babies sometimes! My mom says I need a farm because I have so many haha. Im getting my fourth in about a week! I cannot wait. He is not a puppy though.:) |
go for it!!!! make sure you post pics as soon as you get some! |
I would definatly do it. I have never regretted getting Pebbles when Coco was 6mo old. They really have become the best of buddies. He was so good with her when she was small. I got my Trix when Pebbles was 6 mo and also have never regreted it. They really do keep eachother company and they all sleep in one big ball of fur. My dh is a little upset though because when we only had Coco he would snuggle on his lap. Now he has the girls and wants nothing to do with the lap. :D Good luck!! |
Now would be the perfect time. Six months is old enough yet not too old to share the limelight. He will love his little Sis. |
Go for it! As long as someone won't be upset if you do! I would LOVE another baby!!! We can all live out our multiple yorkie desires thru you!! |

As far as names, I have liked Sadee Grace a long time, so unless I think of something else, that most likely will be it. |

We just got our second dog at the beginning of the summer when Bandit was 2. While it was a big adjustment period (for both us and Bandit) I'm SO glad we did it. I love Nala so much, and it's so great that Bandit has a playmate (even though she still has lots of 6-month old puppy energy and can play for hours on end until she crashes and passes out on your feet). Go for it! |
Oh my after reading all these replies how can you not get her LOL:p I can't wait to see pics |

You sound excited about adopting the Yorkie. Your living arrangements seem like it is conducive for raising a puppy. I bet Rily would love a Yorkie playmate. I agree with everybody else that you might want to adopt this furbaby. I think in your heart, she is already your furbaby. I know I could not resist adopting another Yorkie when the opportunity arises. I cannot wait to read about her on this forum if you decide to adopt this Yorkie. :) |
I say go for it..two are always better than one. They will be best buddies and it is so much fun to see them play together. |

Yes get her, she's already yours !!! I can't wait to get my next fur baby and i've only had daisy nearly two weeks lol xxx |
Thanks to everyone for all the support! I agree, she is already mine! I can't wait to meet her. If they will let me, I will get a picture to post (and to drool over) until I get her. It will be a looonnng wait! I'm a little nervous because she's so tiny. According to the growth chart, she will only be 2.5-3 pounds. Rily is 6 months and the last time he was weighed he was 5.6....so, big difference, even thou he is still a skinny butt! I agree he needs a playmate. We have a 13 year old schnauzer, Fancy, but she is sick and doesn't do much more than sleep. Fancy is a precious little girl and really great with Rily, but I'm sure she would love for him to get out of her face. |
