I vote yes rilysmom..... sounds like a done deal, definitely get her if she seems right. Having 2 is terrific, and by the way having 4 is really fun too. I got my second, Meika, when Tiki was 5 months old, and it was perfect (I also have a 13+ yr. old schnauzer). The little girls were so fun, I got 2 more baby sisters (Morkies) when the first 2 were a year old. My furfamily is complete for now, and I love the way they play together, yet always have plenty of lovin for me. Getting a healthy dog from a good breeder is of course very important, cause you will already double your vet costs with 2. Looking forward to hearing more about this girl; good luck! |

Definitely addicting! I would do it! I have my two girls and one of them (my Maggie) has 3 boys. I am selling two of the boys only because I don't feel like I could give all 5 the attention they deserve. However, it is getting harder and harder to sleep at night thinking about the day they go to their new furever homes!:( |
Should you???????????? YES. Any other question I can answer while I'm here?;) |
I would get her now so they can grow up together ! I want another girl but my husband wants me to wait tell we get are house built. but that will be another 5 month away  I cant wait I really want another furbaby so sophie can have a play mate :D |
Thanks to everyone for all the positive encouragement! I got to meet the little angle and she is gorgeous....but, it is not looking to good for me...the lady has decided to not breed the momma again, so, her daughter now wants to keep this little girl (the only girl in the litter.) :( She will have another litter ready in a couple of months, so I may be able to get one then. BUT, I so wanted this little girl...she is so cute...I held her for about an hour and she curled up and went to sleep in my hands....How sweet is that? :unlove: |

No, this wasn't Kelly. This happened a couple of weeks ago....I guess MauiGirl was right....There WAS something better for me in the future. I thank God I didn't get the first one. I'm so happy you helped me connect with Kelly and her baby girl. Thank you so much for that....I wouldn't have known about them if you hadn't posted about Cosmo on here! :) |

Congrats!!! I've been facing the dilemma of adding another dog as well. Not to invade on your thread, but Jackson is an awesome dog. I worked really hard with him as a pup, he's a wonderful companion, my little buddy. He would love a playmate/sibling. But I worry about how much it will change things. Jackson is 1 year old now. Will it change him? Will it be just as easy to travel? How much more will it be to own a 2nd? I also think... I really don't want more than 2 dogs at one time (3 would be my limit but even that is pushing it) and should I just wait it out another year to see if the right dog comes along? I don't want to get a 2nd dog now and then see another one in a year.. LOL .I have all kinds of doubts and questions. I'm still just gonna wait it out. CONGRATS ON YOUR LITTLE GIRL!! |

I got baby Maggie when Buster was 11 months old. They still fight and are very jealous of each other. Not quite sure what to do about it. I try to give both of them the same amount of attention but Buster has learned to jump in my lap first. Maggie learned a lot from Buster but it is sad to see her sitting by herself, I usually go get her and bring to sit in my lap with Buster. Although if I do that Buster will usually leave. I did not think Buster would be so jealous. I thought he would want a "friend" to play with all day while I am at work. Buster is very attached to me, whatever room I am in, that is where he is. If I am cleaning the house, he is where he can watch me at all times. I love Maggie and would never consider finding another home for her as I have been advised to do. They will have to learn to eventually get along. :aimeeyork:aimeeyork |

Go for it! Although Buster & Maggie still are not "best friends", I think they would be sad if the other one went away. When one of them needs to go the vet, I usually have to take both of them. I wanted to walk them separately as Buster has had training and Maggie has not, she cries and whimpers and my husband will call me to come back and get her. They sometimes cuddle. I think the older Maggie gets, the better it will get. They have good days and bad days but when they are having a good day...it's too much fun!!!:) |
