| Donating YT 500 Club Member | THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for this thread. It's like you are talkinga bout my Guinness McLovin. He has horrible hair and is sensitive and trying to brush them out makes him cry I hate it. I use my own hair serum on him and a conditioner by PetSilk but it doesn't work all the time. I'm going to try the above ideas, thanks SO MUCH!

I must have a mental block -- that is the second time I typed in corn meal instead of corn starch! I know which one I am thinking, but somehow I type in corn meal -- I must want some cornbread or something. LOL! Thanks for catching my mistake!

| Senior Yorkie Talker | Infusium 23 Repairologie works the best, take it and mix it in a spray bottle with half water and half Infusium, shake well, then apply it to the dog. This stuff works wonders and it is great on tangles, and it smells great. Just leave it in and blow dry. Hope this helps!!

| YorkieTalk Newbie! | Frankie has the cotton like hair and up until a bit ago he never matted. Frankie is 4 months. I noticed his matting when I tried putting the flea and tick application his vet gave us. I went to pet store near us looking for Yorkie Sleek&Shine but they only carried junk brands and Isle of Dogs I got IoD shampoo conditioner and detangler spray. It works and the mats were coming out but Frankie was not having it. He's not used to being brushed. But hopefully someone has an opinion about Yorkie S&S???. |

| It also helps to bring from the ends up. Cause if you're brushing top (or at the skin) down, you'll cause the tangles to tighten it's knotting. If it's bad enough, I would try to gently loosening it by massaging with the oils or detanglers. Worse case scenario is having to cut it out ^^;

| We just found a product on vacation where I had forgotton Kyras spray. It is made by Pet Head and it is a detangling spray. It works great on Kyra.

| The reason I keep my little one cut short, she hates bows so I keep her hair on top short too. She is 4 months old and I have tried to let it grow but it is too much work and she hates it long. I am sure this winter (in Ohio) I will have to let it grow out some or get extra sweaters for her
