What has your Yorkie done for you? I have some health problems (I produce kidney stones constantly, its been going on 5 years now living in and out of hospitals got my degree online and everything) so I'm home all the time and today was just a bad day. I've been cranky and not feeling well and just blah. I wouldn't even crack a smile when my sister tried to cheer me up. Then I pick up my Luna and within 5 minutes shes got my laughing and smiling and just feeling better. I didn't even notice until my sister said "I'm glad you have her, you have been in a bad mood all day and now you're happy again just from holding your dog for a few minutes" I just think its amazing how sweet and loving dogs are and the wonders they can do for you. I just love her very much and thought others could share stories of when their yorkies made their day :] :lovewings |
Just the other day, I was telling a friend of mine how happy I am w/my life...Then I stopped and thought about why I was able to say that I was a happier person, today, than say a year ago...I realized it's because I have Apple to love, and Apple's love in return...There's much to be said about having a "companion" dog... |

They really are amazing! I totally know what you mean, I'm happy you have Apple to make you happy :] |
I totally agree 100% with you. It's amazing how a little four legged dog can bring such love and happiness to you. When I open up the door at night Buddy is always sitting right there. I have to be careful not to hit him when the door opens. It's like "Welcome Home Mom, I've been waiting for you." It just warms me up all over. The kisses that come immediately just brings me to tears at times. Bud is my campanion and it's so hard to express the joy he gives me daily. Like yourself I guess you just have to experience it to understand it. I hope your health get's better with all the puppy kisses your furbaby bestowes upon you daily. |
Aww thats so sweet to be greeted like that. Thanks so much! I'm hoping to grow out of it one of these days :] |
Sophie always brightens our day! She's ready with kisses when we get home, so excited to see us! She always has kisses and is ready to play when we wake up too! It's become a habit in the morning to bring her to wake up my 11-year old in the morning with kisses after she goes pottie! You gotta luv um! |
Tucker eased my depression when I couldn't have any more kids. I'm now in school to be a teacher and have accepted my fate. Tucker waits patiently for me to get home from classes everyday |

Aww thats so beautiful. And I am SO sorry about your condition, that must have been heartbreaking news. |
I was in the middle of severe depression and panic attacks, along with other health problems, my daughters were spending the first ever enitre summer away from me, I was in general just a mess. My mom bought my furbaby as an early bday present and I can honestly say I never understood how people were so crazy for their animals until Motley came into my life. He has brightened my life in many ways and I am still really in shock that I could be come so attached so fast. |

Jackson makes me happier than he could ever know. :) Since my little brother died in 2006, I've been really down and still have my off days. Since getting Jackson last year, I've sort of come back to life. It sounds cheesy as hell but he's given me something to look forward to in the morning. He's just my little buddy. I take him wherever I possibly can with me, he's such a great little companion and such a good boy. Nothing beats his love and kisses when you're sick, or feeling down, or get home from school/work. |

Aww that is so sweet. Its good that you had her through that! And about the kidney stones, wow. Do you produce them constantly? Sorry to be nosey I've just never met someone with this problem. Like with me I am NEVER without a kidney stone. Right this very minute I have four. It has brought down my whole life, no school, no nothing. |

Aww that is so rough. Have you pulled through it Okay? Its good you had a companion to go with you through that because I cant imagine going through that |

I totally know what you mean! I used to feel so silly for having such strong feelings for a dog. And of course my friends are the typical young irresponsible teenagers who I really cant get along with anymore so they didn't help any matters in making me feel normal. So this place is very nice for people to gather and share stories. |

I have fibromyalgia/chronic pain and my yorkies seem to make everything so much better... spending time with them just brightens my day and helps so much. I have went from one to three (soon to be four) with the year and I am so crazy about them and they really do help! |
It is so amazing to hear everyones story! Thanks for this post:p Lily has seen me through a terrible pregnancy, intence pain, and many sleepless nights. I'm an insomniac and everytime I can't sleep she's there. I used to have horrible panic attacks in the middle of the night but not since I've had Lily! When I get out of bed after tossing and turning she always comes too! She never stays in bed without me... while the whole world seems to be sleeping and I can't I have my little buddy to snuggle and kiss. Thank you Lily!!!:aimeeyork |
Oh wow, good question. I was in a motorcycle accident in 2001, coma for month, flat on my back for 2 more months. The one thing that got me trying to get better were my dogs. No one takes care of them like me. I was able to have 1 with me. She laid on my bed with me, and I had to learn to use my wheel chair to be able to take her out to go potty. She always waited for me. 2002 my husband died, and I went and got Rocky. (my first Yorkie) The love you receive from your babies are just so comforting, and real it's so hard to explain. I have no idea where I would be today, if it were not for my dogs(babies) and God. |
My little Bailey makes me so happy I have only had her for three months but she is a hughe part of my life no matter where I am if I cant bring her I am happy to get home to her little smiling face! It was cold today and I had her new pink sweater on when I took her out and she would not walk and i said come on Ba and I looked down and the hood was over her eyes I just cracked up she is so cute! I am glad your fur baby is bringing u so much happiness |

I am exactly the same way! I guess being out of school 5 years has had the effect of me aging 5 times faster than everyone else =P |

Aw that is SO tough. I'm glad you are ok now! And that you had your furbabies to be with you during that. |
It doesn't matter what what kind of four legged baby one has, they just make life better. They are all special. My three horses are so awesome along with the cattle dog and my little yorkie. Love'em all. :) |
I have had 2 neck surgeries in the last 15 months. I had to quit working a job I loved and drop out of nursing school. I cannot drive since my surgery. I became very depressed because my lifestyle came to a dramatic halt. Before this I worked four 12 hour shifts in an an emergency room and went to school 3 days a week. Last February my husband got Harley for me for Valentine's day. He thought it might help with my lonliness and depressin over my situation, and help get my mind off the pain I am usually in. He was right, Harley is the love of my life (after my DH) of course, and he has helped me tremendously. He never ceases to make me laugh or smile over his antics. He is full of kisses and loves to be cuddled. The perfect medicine for what ails you, a lovable little yorkie. Christy;) the prevlidged mommy of Harley:aimeeyork |
