| ![]() Our little guy is 9 weeks old and is in constant play mode. He will not just let me hold him and love on him. I can't even get him to calm down to fall asleep in my arms, even when he is tired. I've tried to go in at night and get him out of his crate to love on him while he is sleepy, but noooo! As soon as I get him out he gets all excited and wants to play again! ![]() |

| ![]() My Zeke is over a year old and still does not like to be held or loved. He will sit beside us sometimes and let us pet him, but he would rather play than anything. My advise is not to push him. If you try too hard, he may just pull away harder. They sure have a mind of their own, but you gotta love them. lol |

| ![]() When Jazzie was young, she wanted to play play play with Zander... so I would hold her, sure she wanted me to put her down but I held her, sometimes I would give her something to chew on while I combed her or just touched her, she eventually accepted that she was going to have some lap time. Now she is 2 and she can't get enough lap time. It's all part of the training, plus it teaches them to calm down and have some quiet time. Good luck. ![]()

| ![]() Yorkie pups need to be with their Mom and littermates until they are 12 -14 weeks old, some even longer. At 9 weeks, he's used to having Mom control him. With you, nothing is controlling him. He doesn't understand your language, and he's just running wild. It's not good for pups to play constantly. They are like little kids, the more they get going, the harder it is to stop them. Play time should be limited. He's at risk to go hypoglycemic. Make sure he eats 3-4 times a day. Have Nutrical on hand. Get him on a schedule example 8 - 12 - 4 - 8. Out to potty every 2 hours. Get him up at 8, out to potty, in to eat, out to potty, gentle play after meals, out to potty after playtime, and naptimes. Repeat every 4 hours.

| ![]() Yes....some can be in a mind of their own.....Lucky has very little time for the cuddling, although he liked it when he was smaller! I got him when he was 13 weeks old! The family that had the puppies had two little girls so I am assuming that he was used to being cuddled since he was the last one to leave his fur mommy! I was wondering about Yorkie Birthsigns and if they represented their personalities and Lucky is an Aquarious....his sign suit him perfectly!! lol Here is the site where you can find their sign..... Birth Signs for Yorkies - Yorkie Dogs Astrology Enjoy.....Lucky's mommy |
