Play time should be limited. He's at risk to go hypoglycemic. Make sure he eats 3-4 times a day. Have Nutrical on hand.
Get him on a schedule example 8 - 12 - 4 - 8. Out to potty every 2 hours. Get him up at 8, out to potty, in to eat, out to potty, gentle play after meals, out to potty after playtime, and naptimes. Repeat every 4 hours.
I agree, I do not think it's good to get puppies too early. Reesie was a rescue. His mom was a rescue, and the people who got the mom did not know she was pregnant until it was too late. They were not set up to take care of the puppies and therefore had to give them up early. Thanks for your tips about the play time. We pretty much have him on a schedule. I do notice that if he gets off his schedule he gets more rambunctious.
