| ![]() Bonnie grunts too. I love to pick her up and hear her grunt. Sometimes, the grunt is so quiet, and I love to snuggle her up under my chin so I can hear it better. |

| ![]() Apple doesn't do the moaning sound thingy, but she sure will pee or poop on concrete...For instance, we'll be crossing the street, at an intersection, and she decides to stop and do a poop....I mean, really, how embarassing is that!!!! Holds up traffic, I'm feeling like a fool, and then what do you do, when it's over...Ya gotta know that every car that goes by, after the deed is done, is wondering if it's on "their" tire lol... ![]() |

![]() As for the grunting - my dad's Jack Russell mix does this when you pick her up.

| ![]() When Eva is sleepy and we pick her up, she does her squeaky moany grunt everytime. She does it for a few seconds, it is so precious I love it. I actually look forward to hearing it when I pick her up. Then I coo her and sometimes she does it again. It is the sweetest thing.

| ![]() Boy what a relief to hear that other yorkies make the grunting noise. When we got yogi we had just had to put my sandie girl down due to having gotten cancer . She was a husky / golden retriever mix and boy i loved that dog. She was my very faithful friend for 14 yrs. But after she passed my beagle was sulking so we went to the humane society cuz we saw a pic of this adorable little yorkie who had been brought back 3 times cuz he had housebreaking issues/ well honestly i think it was more the people didn't really have the time to spend with training him .. Anyway he has wiggled squirmed and nuzzled his way into my heart and when i started noticing him making the grunting sounds i was scared that he had possibly gotten cancer and was in pain but like you all he does it when i pick him up or give him hugs so thanks so much for sharing your pride & joys on this sight |

YT Addict | ![]() Jenna moans and grunts when being lifted or carried or getting up from when she's lying down...but she didn't used to. I think it's because she's heard me grunting or groaning when I get up out of bed or off a chair...I guess she's learned it from me! ![]()

YT 500 Club Member | ![]() Yup mine does the same thing. When I pick him up of sometimes when he is sitting on me and playing with his toy or I am washing his face. I wondered if he was in pain too but he eats and plays like a mad man so I am thinking no!! |

| ![]() Billi would do this too if I picked her up a certain way. If we picked her up in the middle of her tummy, she'd grunt. If we pick her up by her ribs, like our hands are supporting her weight that way, she's fine. You might try picking him up a little higher up and see if that helps at all?

| ![]() Bubba moans when picked up. It sounds like he is picking me up rather than me picking him up. I just say to him, "hey, I'm the one who should be complaining, you big turkey". Sissy just rolls on her back and puts her paws in the air when you go to pick her up.
