I know what you mean. I have a friend and her yorkie is sooooo small. She is always hiding behind her legs. Well she walks though. She gets scared when she gets picked up, too high for her I guess. She just kind of stands there. She doesn't fetch either. :(
Uni on the other hand prefers not to being carried. She would rather walk. I can only hold her in my shop or at home, and to and from the car, that's it. Otherwise she starts complaining.
This also reminds me of a time.... i was out shopping on Melrose, and i was wearing huge platform shoes. And these girls come up to me and say "can you walk in those?" I go, No I can't, I flew here. | LOL I love your comment to those girls. I wish people would think before they say dumb comments like that. No, obviously you can't walk in the shoes you're currently wearing to walk.
I was at the vet a few weeks ago, and I was holding Addie the whole time. I'm just not very comfortable putting her down on the waiting room floor, and there were a lot of bigger dogs there.
Well, after my visit with the vet, I'm at the front trying to pay. I'm still holding Addie, and this lady who had been waiting in the room with me before says, "Can't she walk?" in a sarcastic tone. She didn't have this ridiculously rude tone, but it still pissed me off. I just turned to face her and nicely said, "Of course she can. I just prefer to keep her safe."
She at least had the sense to appear a bit embarrassed when I replied.
I was kind of shocked that anyone would say something like that to me. Why do some people think they always have the right to add commentary? If you want to do that, star in a movie and then you and the director can not shut up together. |
