| Thinking of all of you in Georgia it sounds just horrible!!!! Here in Missouri it was an awesome day, but new we were getting the rain this evening. I tried to get to the library before it started and OMG!!! It was raining so hard so fast I could not see to drive, even with an umbrella I was SOAKED.....my shoes, shirts, pants, then when I got home I had to take poor Cooper out so he already had a Tshirt on so I put his leather jacket over it. Such a good boy, HATES to get wet, but ran out did his business and me and him were back in a flash.

| I just went back and read this thread!!! OMG!! We are flying into Birmingham tomorrow ... via Dallas!! I was glad we were going because today they predicted snow here in CO on the front range. Now ... not so sure! I believe I would rather deal with the snow rather than the rain and flooding!! DRAT!!! We will keep all of you in Georgia in our prayers!

| I liked your title! I'm in Metro Atl and it's nuts here! They are predicting rain through Sunday, I'm sure the worst is still to come. I think we can expect more school and prolly business closings too. Buckhead looks like a river is runnning through it, interstates have been shut down. Lakewood amphitheater is underwater. I have a friend who had a mudslide that collapsed the foundation wall in her basement and she now has a gaping hole in the side of her house. Needless to say the house is now unlivable. So far we are safe, but unless this rain stops I fear we are in for it. |

| This has been an absolute nightmare!! Right now, it is not raining in Gwinnett county, but we are supposed to get more rain tomorrow and Wednesday. Did you have a chance to look at the link posted on page 2? There is so much water damage here...and 6 lives lost.

The 3 Musketeers Donating Member | About this time of the year, our weather should be rainy/windy, highs in mid 60s and lows upper 30s. Instead, we have sunny weather, temps in the 70s lows 50s. I think that this global warming stuff is really impacting everyone. Me, I would rather have the snow, I mean what do you expect in Minnesota? I hope you all in Georga keep dry and furbabies especially.

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | Wow! And I thought snow was a pain. The rain sounds MISERABLE. Just so you know, our record has been pleasant. A little rain, but fall is late to arrive. I'm all in favor in naming the storm of the year after Villette, YT's poster extraordinaire! Hurricane Vee has a nice ring to it.

| Update on the weather here... Good Morning America is here to report on the sever conditions. The body of the missing baby has been found. All schools in metro ATL are closed (Gwinnett, Dekalb,Cobb,Clayton,Fulton, and Fayettte county), more than 8700 people had to stay in shelters, detour roads have detours, most creeks and rivers are 15 feet above flood level. grocery stores are flooded, stores that normally are open for 24 hours are closed, all major highways (85, 75, 595, and 20) are closed and blocked off. I think highway 20 is open with one lane, but there is a major accident there now, so traffic is back up for at least 6-7 hours, Six "Flags Over Georgia is flooded and has major damage. Sirens have been going off all night, some streets are literally gone, bridges are damaged, power outages in most counties, school buses have been overturned; everyone is advised to stay home. It is not raining at the moment, but we are supposed to get more rain today thru Friday! You can see the news online at wsbtv.com...(ABC affiliate.)

There are at least nine other counties, outside of the ones mentioned above, that have been affected.
