Yorkie Yakker | I do! I don't neccesarily take it as a "female" thing. It's a Yorkie thing! That is a little part of what they're known for. When I do it on my boy I don't see him as a female, but a handsome yorkie

| Yeah, my husband and parents think I'm nuts for wanting to grow out my boys' hair to give them topknots. Dh says they're stupid, and parents say its silly to do on boys. Truth is, they look so much cuter, more professional (getting ready to try to stud out my older boy), and you don't have to cut their hair or worry about it getting in their eyes. I'm even gonna look for little "manly" clips or bows...black or blue with skulls or something...

| So who is going to be teasing him? The other Yorkies? Or the tougher Bulldogs on the block? Sorry, couldn't resist. I agree with SpiderBBlue -- it is a Yorkie thing. All yorkies at shows are to wear a topknot, red is the bow color of choice at shows. But just out and about, casual wear, you can find a great variety of boys bows. Check with Ladymom -- she did some really nice special order bows for me with sports themes. She has a nice variety on her site too! Tell hubby that yorkies all deserve a topknot! Now if I could just get my guys to leave the bows in their hair!!!! Ten minutes and Ben will have his shaken or rubbed right out. Then he winds up with a knot of hair I have to untangle.

| When I had Bogie groomed last time (4 weeks ago) we had decided to keep his hair short on his head. I hate it!!! It just doesn't look right. Last nite I told DH I decided to let it grow out.(it was already short when we got him in July) He doesn't want me to, but I think he will be so much cuter with it grown out. He doesn't even look like a biewer with it cut so short. I agree it doesnt make them look like a girl!!!

| When Yogi's started growing I told DH he had to decide, if he wanted it long then it had to be up. Or we could cut it short so that it would stay out of his eyes. DH wants it long, so a top knot for da boy is a must. I use the small scrunchies in 'manly' colors. Black, blue, red, green. But I can occassionally sneak in a very pretty baby blue. Yogi's hair is so dark, I think it's a perfect contrast. His hair's not long enough to fold back yet so he does this adorable little poof. I just love it!!
