| So freaked out!! Ok guys just to let you all know I am so freaked out right now lol So I was in the bathroom blow drying my hair, Peanut is in the living room in his bed, dh is still at work All of a sudden I hear Peanut going at it..Barking like I never heard him bark before!! And even a little growling!! I was so scared to go to the living room to see what was going on bc Peanut is not a barker!! I go in the living room and I didnt see him, I look into the kitchen to see him in front of the doors to the laundry room! ( the laundry room is just a little room with the washer and dryer thats it) he was sitting there barking and barking and barking!! The washer nor dryer nor light was on in the room!!! I picked him up and tried to calm him down and he squirmed out of my hands and continued to bark! So I opened the doors, then he carefully walked over to the room, started to growl a little and walked inside , he stopped sniffed around, he looked up and did like a little whine noise and made a little bluff( bluff is a bark without opening his mouth.. you know) It was crazy he looked up like 3 times and looked around!! There was NOTHING there!! That I saw. Then I got really freaked out and shut the door and sat with him on the couch.... We are sitting on the couch and he still will look over there!!! I am freaked out lol Now the only reason why I get like this is bc after my Dad passed away like 2 months later, my dad came to me in a dream ( long story in itself lol) it was my dad for sure, but like a ghost..I dont want to say ghost but his body was all white and foggy looking and his face was clear but a little foggy ...anyways after that happened I would always feel him around me.. When I got Peanut it took about a year, Anytime I would feel my dad around me Peanut would act strange, he would bark at no apparent reason, look up in the air, a couple times he would follow something in the air...Many times I have noticed these things that Peanut does, but nothing ever really this bad.. I dunno I think I am just going on and on... I don't really talk to people about this kind of stuff ESP the whole "my dad came to me" thing it freaks a lot of people out but I just had to tell someone.. Do you guys think I am crazy? Could it have been my Dad? Do you guys believe in that kind of stuff??

| I know what your going through. My dh grandfather comes around our house. He will come visit our son (he died when my son was 6 months) all the time. My son was his first great grandson and the light of his life for the last 6 months (died of bone cancer). Well I got both my babies last year, and when Bill (great grandpa) comes around my dogs freak out. They get really edgy, start barking at nothing, and will stick close by me. So its weird to alot of people but really common among those that are receptive to those that are departed.

| It is totally possible! I would have probably told my dad to come quietly and not scare my pup! But..to please keep coming! There is something very comforting having a visit from a loved one who has passed. So....if you are crazy, there are more of us who will meet you one day in the room with the soft walls and you will not be alone!

| Naw, you're not crazy Your normal !!! I would have been worried and alarmed too! We expect that our dogs will bark when we need to notice something they think is out of the ordinary. Dogs alert us to strangers, dangers, etc. That was/is their originally main job I think Seems though, if it was your dad, he would be a friendly spirit. I got my dog after my dad passed away too, I am sorry for your loss |

| WOW, that's crazy. That would be freak me out, too! I do believe in spirits and ghosts sort of thing and I believe dogs can sense things that we can't. Maybe it was your dad stopping by to say hello But, it COULD have been a mouse or a cat outside or something if we wanna get back to "reality!" LOL. But ya never know.

| i've never had an experience with a spirit or presence, but i did have a couple dreams after my cousin Wes died where i saw him and i got to hug him again and we sat in a little booth at a soda shop...(i guess Heaven has those?) and we danced one time i think. i just missed him so much (i was 12 when he died) and i prayed to see him again and my prayers were answered and i saw him. it made me feel better knowing he was at peace and happy. now he's learning that dance from Dirty Dancing from Patrick Swayze up there and Sadie did that alert barking thing and i thought she was crazy, but it was only a cricket that was hopping on the floor and i didn't notice it right away. |

| I don't think your crazy at all. I think it's Peanut's way of letting you know what's going on.

| Hehe.....While I wouldn't jump right to the conclusion that you have a ghost Your dog could have been hearing anything a mouse as someone already has suggested or maybe something outside But dogs are sensitive to energies if you believe in that sort of thing We did live in a house that had a resident ghost many yrs ago and things would bemoved you would hear voices at night and the little dog that we had at the time would get up and bark and growl when there was nothing there but what made it scarey was that she would back up like something was coming toward her and then she would run away
