| ![]() Personally, I think the ears on the first pup are just fine, the breeder has not trimmed the hair on them. Since you are looking for a pet only then I would try to select the girl that has the type of personality that would fit best in your household. You have received lots of other good advise so I won't go into all that. Good luck in getting the perfect baby to love. |

| ![]() Well supposedly they all live in the house. She has a back yard with a privacy fence that they can run around in. Of course I will see if this is true Sunday. I have talked to her multiple times and will meet her tomorrow. I have seen pics of both mothers and the father. She also just said that the second one ears are up today. I do want a good breeder and it is soooo hard to find one!!! I really hope she turns out good.

| ![]() They are both precious. If they are also healthy I don't see how you can go wrong with whichever one you choose. I had two girls from two different litters to decide on when I got Kalina. I don't know why I picked Kalina but I'm glad I did. It's all about love anyway. Good luck! I can't wait to see which one you pick (if any!!) ![]()

![]() One pic of each is really not enough to make a good judgement on anyway. I just thought the first one's ear itself had a more rounded look to it (not just the hair sticking away from it) and seemed larger. Strange that she cut the face hair and left more hair on the ear tips. The second one, you can see the triangular shape of the ear tip. That is what I have been shown to look for and have seen in my own pup. My Ben had big-ish ears, although nicely triangular. His personality and build won me over regardless. I just made sure to get a female with small, dainty ears to compliment and all their puppies wound up with very nice ears.

I think lots of things are personal preference. Some may just be to your personal liking whether or not they are to standard or not. I did not let any of my puppies outside on the ground at all until they had all their shots. Which means some found new homes (at 12 - 16 weeks) before they had ever set foot in grass. I took them outside in a basket just to get fresh air and sunshine a few times. But several of the experienced, respected breeders here told me to be sure not to let them down on the ground. There are many things that can stay in the grass/earth for a long time and if the puppies have not completed all vaccines, they are susceptible. I only took them out for vet trips, never for pleasure trips until all shots were given.

Different mothers?? A good breeder has not more than 7-8 dogs. My breeder has only 4 dogs, we often meet and were almost a family now cause we are so close, we often go for a off-leash walk and she babysits Fido sometimes for me, that is what i call a good breeder. If this breeder has more than 8-10 dogs i cant imagine that she is a good breeder. No one can take good care of such a many dogs.

| ![]() I think that they are both adorable! Like everyone has said, you will need to be sure of the breeder and all of that. That being said, I think that it will be more of the puppy choosing you! lol. Since you will be able to see both of them in their home, you can observe them and see how they are with each other and see which one bonds with you the most. Good luck on whichever one that chooses you...you can't go wrong with either one!

I must not have said that right. She only has 2 females she breeds and one male. She has another female that is retired and spayed. Both females had a litter of puppies a week apart and so there was 1 female in each litter. I'm sorry I didn't make that clear. Four adult dogs total is all she has.

When it comes to personality, it is really hard to tell on a 8 week old pup. You can raise a whole litter identically and end up with a variety of personalities, just like when a person has children, they can all have different personalities. Usually at 8 weeks they are just starting to really explore and experience new things. Puppies can be really outgoing and comfortable in their small environment but if you take them out of their regular environment when they are very young then many of them will act scared. It takes time for them to gain their confidence. Also, some pups get picked on by their litter mates and I think that makes them feel less secure. | |
