I'm a Ret Flight Attn and was also watching GMA , when I saw the plane hit the towers in NY.
I lost 2 Flight Attn girlfriends. I"ll always have them close in my heart, I'll never forget for as long as I live. We were grounded for 5 days , I flew International and I was going to work that evening, I ret 3 years later , I wanted to spend more time with my loves ones , specially my grandson's. OMG I have never felt that kind of pain, I cry for days and I still do around this time and when I visit NY and our towers are no longer there. I refuse to watch any movie on 9-11.
God Bless friends and family of all those we loss on 9-11, and Bless all those that r working and flighting to bring peace to the world, Bless our troops, may they came home safe.

I remember that day like it was yesterday. My office is on the Hudson
20 mins No of the City. I heard it first on the radio and when I looked down
river from the window all I could see is black smoke.
When the second plane hit I left work.
I was sure it was the end and I wanted to get to my daughter's home
because my SIL was out of town and my granddaughter was an infant.
I didn't want to be alone or have them be in case this was it.
When I got there my daughter was hysterical because her best friend worked
on the 12th fl of the first tower and she was sick with worry. Her friend did get
out but the therapy after lasted a long time.

My all that were lost R.I.P.
I don't think any American will ever forget this most tragic day.

I remember 11th of september 2001, i was about 7 years and getting ready for school when it was in the TV, it was a horrible day for all of us
I live far away in another country but i have to say that this touched me much, There are not few tears that fall from my eyes when i think of 9/11.
