Husbands in love with our baby girl I have always wanted an inside dog. I was undecided between a Bichon or a Yorkie ( I babysit my sister's Bichon and my niece's Yorkie). My husband has always said that he didn't want a dog in the house. 5 years ago, he went on a weekend hunting trip and came home to find a German Shepherd in his house. haha. She was so good and very well trained. We had to put her outside at 8 months because she was shedding so much (even though I vacummed twice a day) my oldest son was suffering with alergies. He always liked her but didn't really bond with her. My boys love her and so do the stray cats in the neighborhood. She gets along with everyone, big or small. Alley -the German Shepherd is now 6. This past month, I have had the puppy fever. My niece's Yorkie came for a week and when she left, I thought I was falling into deppression. While she was here, I stayed on the computer and the phone looking for a baby girl Yorkie. This past Saturday, my husband drove me 2 -1/2 hours to get our 20 week old baby girl Sasha. Her pictures are on the Picture page. During the day, Sasha is mostly with just me. My husband does come home for lunch and watches her for me to clean up in the kitchen. He loves her and talks to her. Tries to teach her to sit and is trying to figure out a trick to tie into the command of "Touch Down". Our sons are now 17 & 15 and I catch them talking to her in a baby voice. I think that this is just too cute. She has just won our hearts over. (I knew she would) I'm just trying my hardest for her to be equally spoiled by everyone and not just me.

| Congrats on your little girl!! Your DH drove you 2 1/2 hours to pick her up...sounds like he loves you as well as Sasha. My DH loves all 3 of our kids and is very proud to let anyone know it. He struggled and struggled in the beginning to get his 'clumsy man fingers' (his words) to work right to get Gracie Ruth's scrunchies in. But he worked it out and I was so surprised to come home from work one day to find her top knot in a scrunchie and matching barrets. Gotta love a man who loves his family, skin & fur members.

Congrats on your new baby. She is so sweet looking. I have been married almost 28 years. DH never wanted a dog in the house. He finally gave in cause I now have an empty nest and needed something to "mother". Every night when he gets home, Bonnie jumps in his lap with her stinky bunny to play tug-of-war. He says "Why do I have to play with YOUR dog?". HA, like someone is twisting his arm He loves it cause she goes to him to play, not me

We have my daughter's Yorkie to take care of while she's in school, but she's really ours now. I have a real soft spot in the heart for little dogs. The Yorkie is special. I saw a Pom that had gotten away from home last Saturday, and it was clear it had been on the road for a while. I tried to get it to come to me so I could read the tag, rescue, etc., but no go. I've looked for that dog every day since. They just can't survive in the wild like a bigger dog can.

I am new to the yorkie family and enjoying it so much. Never a dull moment. I just got Bella a week ago. I had been looking and researching yorkies since May. My husband didn't want me to get another dog since we still have our cattle dog, which lives in the house with us. Hair galore. I call it angora for the wood floors. Well he knew it was coming and last week she did. I used his own theory against him...lol..."It's easier to get forgiveness than permission". So I went for it. He laughed and shook his head when he saw her. He didn't want a small dog. Now he calls her Bella Baby. Picks her up and cradles her. It's to funny. I never say a thing. I have a brother that talks to theirs and ask "Whose your daddy?" and an uncle that ask his for kisses.

I love all of these stories of how the men are so softhearted when it comes to the little bundles of joy. I am sorry for the little Pom out in the road. I like the theory of "forgiveness is easier to get than permission". I'll have to remember that one. Yes, my husband is so sweet. He has never told me know for anything I wanted (I don't abuse this) except for a house dog. Now he is glad to have her and when he calls from work, he even asks about Sasha and how our day is going. Too Cute. Gotta Love Him.
