Leave the little guy at home!! The only place he should be going is the vet.. Keep Coby in a little bubble until he is older and has all his shots!! |

If I were you I would rather leave him at home in a crate or xpen then to take him places.. |
Or take him out...Anywhere, he is too tiny and yes you could lose him within minutes... |
think of it this way. You wouldn't leave a sick newborn infant alone in a crib to run errands. even though the infant would be safe from getting loose. Coby is a sick newborn infant. He can't be exposed to outside germs/dangers and he can't be left alone for an instant. He can go/die that quickly. If he were a baby and you needed to leave you'd get a sitter. Same here. Find a responsible adult to sit with him. Someone that knows how to take care of tiny puppies. You wouldn't have someone watch your newborn baby that knew nothing about babies, right? Just use the same logic. You have a sick newborn baby....... |

Star, just want to say... you're being receptive and responsive to everyone's advise, and right now... around here, that means alot.:) Everyone is pulling for you and Coby... we know you are very worried and only want the best for your baby. Hang in there. There are some very smart people on here with a lot of experience. I am new myself and my girls are just puppies themselves. So, listen and follow the advise of posters like FiDebra and others, like you are doing. Keep in close contact with your vet and what will be will be. As for me, I'm praying for you and your little one!!!!! |
Hang in there star. The most important thing you can do now is to just stay with him and watch him, as everyone else keeps posting. At this stage ,with an infection, his body is fighting and you want to make sure that you are aware of any changes in his being. Keeping him warm and comfortable and under your watchful eye, will be his best defense. |
Hi Star, I'm sooo sorry your puppy is not doing well right now, My Bailey had a few problems when I first got him home too. I stayed with Bailey as much as possible and never took him outside, only for trips to to the vet, that is all. I pray that Coby will be okay, my thoughts are with you, they are so fragile at that age, especially when taken from their mom so young. There are alot of experienced yorkie owners on here, listen to their advice and good luck. |
Star, I am also so glad you are listening. So many come on here an ask for advise but like to argue back. Thanks you for not being like that. We are all in love with Coby and want to help you. Make sure he is eating and drinking and always have neutrical on hand. Good luck and please let us know. |
I am so sorry your baby is sick again. It sounds like you are doing what the vet and others are advising. It is so hard when you have a sick little one so just hang in there and hopefully get him stronger and healthier and you will be able to enjoy your baby. I am an experienced yorkie owner and still almost lost Cali who was very sick when I got her at 9 weeks and we had some rough times but she pulled through. You just have to keep a very close eye on him and pray for the best. |
