I didn't read all the posts, only page one, so I don't know if action has been taken. This is extreme negligence if you ask me. It is illegal in my state to have a pup leave home before they are 7 weeks old. You are right, they are still eating from their mother with the breeder assisting a little at this age. 5 weeks is way too early to leave home. Every week brings huge changes. That these pups are dirty and stinky makes me SICK! She should be turned in, there is NOTHING right about what she is doing. It is ok that the mother's hair is cut....I do that too so that the pups don't get strangled in it. Those poor POOR babies! Trust me, I know how far one little puppy turd can go. It has to be cleaned asap before any of them can walk in it. I am just sick! I hope something good has happened. It is scarey to think that they may be unhealthy. :mad:

I hope that lady DOES NOT go to that neighborhood by herself or after nightfall. It is a VERY bad neighborhood. The breeder was telling us that someone was stabbed over a quarter when he was making a phone call on a payphone a block away. I paid the $500 in all twenties and she just sat on her front porch counting them all out infront of everyone in the neighborhood. The lady only accepts cash and $1200 is alot of money. So I hope she's careful and her husband comes.

Well I took baby girl (the only one I was able to rescue) to the vet today. They gave her the first shots and worming and said to keep her seperated from other dogs. But I think she'll be fine.

Oh I'm so glad she's OK. Boy what vacation you had! I hope you keep us posted on how she's doing.
My this has been a long day on here. I bet I have Yorkie dreams tonight. ;)

Are you going to keep them all or sell them when they are older? I would love to adopt one.

I can't believe I missed this all day! What a great ending, you gals are great. Hope the little ones will be fine. As far as that "real byb" she should be watched very closely by the authorities and stopped if she's ever at it again. This is byb at it's worst, 5 weeks, thats' shameful. Someone should have taken her away from her mom whe she was 5 weeks and left to fend for herself...

What you have done is truely amazing! I can't wait to hear all the details and of course, see pictures. You have to tell us all about your adventure into the ghetto, etc. those babies are so lucky that they have you now!!

Okay...so I got there and the woman and her son were sitting on the porch with the puppies in a cardboard box. There was poop in the box and the towel that was in there was soaked in tee tee. She filled out the AKC paperwork and basically never asked me one question! I asked to see the mother dog and the son brought her out. I think she would be really pretty if her hair wasn't chopped off. I asked some questions and got the following info:

1. They have never been to the vet.
2. They haven't nursed since they were four weeks old!
3. This is the mother's fifth litter!

I feel bad in a way that I gave this woman money. I know she will do this again, but I just couldn't leave them there. I just had to get them off that towel! On the way home, I stopped and gave them Nutrical from my finger. They wuvved it!! They don't have all their teeth yet, but their tails are docked. I don't even want to think about the circumstances of the tail docking........

BTW...Lexy adores them! She sniffs them and her little hiney is going a mile a minute! I'll post pics in a little while! Elizabeth

P.S. If you want to help, please help me sell them when the time comes. I'll keep my vet receipts so the buyer will know I'm not in it for profit. I want to keep the "runt" but I don't know if hubby will let me! We'll see! :)

Oh my goodness.. glad to hear you made it back, and with the pups. Would she not sell the mother dog? (I may have misunderstood, but I thought the mom was going to go too....)

I don't know if whe will sell the mommy. Probably not as she is her "cash cow.' Then again, she might for enough money. She had the nerve to tell me what a good deal I was getting since Yorkie puppies go for around $1000.00! I wanted to tell her I paid more than that for Lexy, but she had been well taken care of!

That is sooooooooo awsome that you got them!!!! A job well done!!! Now a bunch of TLC and some vet care!!!! Oh, please keep us posted as to how they are behaving and of their well being.
