So sorry to hear about your mother. It is so difficult with cancer towards the end. You know they need relief from the suffering but letting go is so very hard to do. Not much can really soften the loss, but writing to my DH in a journal helped me feel I could still share with him. I do find solace in knowing we will be together again. Praying for your strength, peace and comfort. Know that your mother is in the care of the One that can do it best!

Thank you so much for your very kind words! I do miss her very much, but I am also relieved that she is not suffering. She missed my stepdad with all her heart and it eases the pain to know they are together again.

I too believe your mom is surrounded by loved ones, and that you will be together again one day. Your mom is a part of you, and you will always be connected by the love you have for each other.

I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my dad in 2000, my brother in 2003, and my mom in 2005. I still miss them very much. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. May God bless and comfort you.

I too am so so sorry about your Mom's having to suffer this terrible illness and her passing. I lost both of my parents to cancer also. I pray your days will be easier now and that you will feel her with you and be comforted that she is at peace. And thank you so much for always being so generous with your time and knowledge, so willing to share with us what you have learned about these beautiful little creatures. As a lot of you know, my Mom lost her battle with Liver Cancer last Thursday and her funeral was Tuesday the 1st. It was hard to lose her, but so much harder to watch her suffer. She is now free from pain, and her funeral was just perfect!

You have my deepest condoleneces....I had no idea but am very very sorry for the loss of your mom. Moms are special. Dads are special too ...but we tend to have such a bond with our Moms.
