Meet Teddy!! My new rescue from Fl. Yorkie Rescue!! 4 Attachment(s) Agnes and Ralphie have a new brother :D:D:D!! I am so happy to tell my YT family about my new rescue baby from Kit and the Florida Yorkie Rescue. Poor little Teddy came to them as a breeder dog who lived his entire 7 years in a cage :(. When his breeder was done with him she dropped him off at the vet and requested that he be euthanized ! Thank God the vet was horrified by the request and contacted Florida Yorkie Rescue. Teddy along with Max, another Yorkie from the same breeder, were immediately brought into the loving arms of foster with Kit. I saw his picture and literally fell in love. I just knew in my heart that he was meant for us. We prayed and prayed that we would be chosen to be his forever family. Well today Kit let us know that wish would be coming true! I can honestly say that I don’t think I have ever experienced such joy in my life :). I cried like a baby when we got off the phone. It truly feels like our family has been completed with little Teddy. I will be meeting with Kit this weekend to pick him up. I truly cannot say enough good things about her and her rescue. In our eyes they are angels. I feel like I have found a true close friend in Kit and I look forward to helping her cause in any capacity that I can. These people are amazing! All of the Yorkie’s that are brought to their rescue are treated like their own babies. When kit updated me of Teddy’s status after his neuter and dental I was so touched to hear that she rocked each and every rescue separately to sleep with “mommy time” that night while they recovered. WOW. She has been so understanding and caring throughout this whole process. I know Teddy has been particularly close to her heart and it will be hard for her to let him go, but I have assured her plenty of visits and pictures! I have attached some of the CUTEST pictures ever of Mr. Teddy that Kit has taken. I think we might have a little super model on our hands. Kit says that in spite of his past, he is the biggest love bug ever! He has certainly come to the right home for “lovins”, LOL. He is in for a life full of snuggles and kisses. It is hard to look at his sweet face and imagine how someone could literally request that he be put to sleep. I just cannot fathom it. So I will post more pictures and an update of his first meeting with Ralphie and Agnes after he is home with us. I know that they will have so much fun teaching little Teddy what it is like to be a dog. Thanks to Kit again, you are truly Teddy’s angel! :hearts-xx:hearts-xx:hearts-xx |

How wonderful but PLEASE keep what you know what this incredible vet did to yourself as he/she could be sued and lose his/her license unless the original owner signed off that he could give the dog to rescue. |
Congratulations!! That is wonderful and little Teddy is just precious! God bless you for giving him a loving forever home.:thumbup: |
Congratulations to you both. You for getting precious teddy and to Teddy for getting a wonderful loving mommy. |

I love happy endings!!:) |
Teddy is beautiful:love: How could that breeder look at that loving little boy and just "dispose" of him, like he's garbage? He's so lucky to have found your family,he'll be so spoiled now:D!! |
omg. how stunning that little boy is:D:D:D.he is surrounded in angels... |
He is sooooooo adorable . |
Congratulations! I can see why you fell in love with that darling little face, I would have, too. Thanks to you, Kit and the rest of her rescue group for making it possible for this baby to have a wonderful forever home! |
He's just beautiful, Congratulations! |
Oh my, Teddy's story made me tear up!!!! Congratulations. You will enjoy him so much!!!! And he is super lucky to have found you. I have a rescue Shih Tzu myself. I adopted her when she was 13 years old. The previous owners got rid of her only because she got old!!!!! Can you believe it????? They wanted a younger one so they kicked her out. She is the sweetest little girl I have ever seen. Now she's 14, and still going strong. I love her to death, and feel blessed to have found her. Rescuing a dog is such a rewarding feeling! |
Wow! I started crying when you told your story! Thank you for sharing it with us and sharing Teddy with us! He is a DOLL BABY!!!! Congrats and warm wishes! I can't wait to see more pics! Hugs! |
Are you kidding me???????????? How awful!!!!!! You take on a dog for it's life, not just until you feel like it! UGH, so people! Quote:

I am sitting her with tears in my eyes after reading Teddy's story. Look at that precious face. After giving that so-called breeder 7 yrs of it's life that's the thanks he's given. Kill him and forget about it! I hope all her females become infertile and the males shoot blanks! What a sick, greedy person. Bless that vet and the rescue who came to those pups rescue and a great big hug to you for giving the handsome boy a loving home. Hugs, |

Teddy gets a new home The Florida Yorkie Rescue is thrilled to have had the opportunity to get to know Adrienne. How we wish all people who applied for our yorkies were like her. She is so excited to get her new Teddy boy and we are equally excited for her. He will be placed in her loving arms on Saturday. :hearts33: We have enjoyed reading all the posts/comments on Adrienne's announcement...:yelrotflm:yelrotflm I hope all her females become infertile and the males shoot blanks! Gosh that was sooooo funny! We all laughed out loud! Great comment!:lol tears Bless that vet and the rescue who came to those pups rescue and a great big hug to you for giving the handsome boy a loving home. We totally agree. It is great that there are people in the world, especially this Vet, who would put himself in the possible position of getting himself in trouble to save an innocent animal. He said he would do it again if the same situation presented itself. Kudos to him!:bravo: So let's continue to celebrate the positive side of this story and rejoice with the excited new Momma to be, Adrienne! :clapsmile Bless you girl! Teddy is going to be one heck of a lucky little boy! :thumbs up Kit Florida Yorkie Rescue www.floridayorkierescue.com |
Go to jail I thought putting a healthy animal to sleep is the same as animal cruelty and you could go to jail for that. So really the Vet had no choice but to do what he did. The previous owner had to know that. I don't of know of ANY vets that would put a healthy animal down. |
