Don't feel bad about the shoppin...Before i got miley I had several outfits made for her..plus i ordered more offline..a toy box..toys..and since i've brought her home (I got her a little over a week ago and she already has 4 dog bowls..2 have lids for when we go places..more clothes..more toys..a colar for jewelry..hair bows..2 beds..ect..ect..i can't stop looking online at stuff to buy for her.. And yes to make matters worse..I'm possibly getting miley a playmate..course this time i won't be picking the puppy up til 12 weeks of age..i've learned my lesson on that one.. |
I too need "I can't wait help" for my baby  I will be waiting until sometime in October which seems like so far away, but I know will be here soon. I'm always online doing shopping and research - I think my family thinks I'm crazy  All I can say, is it will be worth the wait!:love: |
did you get your baby from a breeder? im looking for a female baby like a your dogs size or a litle smaller.. from a breeder, have any ideas any websites would help i looking for dogs 3-4 lbs 10 weeks is ok |
Count me in with you guys! I'm also going to pick up my baby in the October/November timeframe. I started a crazed shopping binge for puppy stuff that can't be satiated but have not yet reached the "get him a pal" stage. OMG! Is that what's going to happen next? |
Congrats :D I know what you mean I did the same what you doing right now:p good luck |

im so very glad im not alone in the crazed shopping mindset! ;) |
I got miley from a local breeder.. I know my family thinks i'm nuts lol..exspecially cause i'm sitting here spoon feeding her while sitting in my bed hehe.. My sister said I need to hurry and get some grandbabies in my house lol.. To the OP..all I got to say is petedge..and Dog.com I love those two online places..you can get ALOT of good deals.. Alot of times they will run really good specials like last week Dog.com had a special where shipping was $5.00 for everything..I bought 3 outfits, 2 dog bowls, doggie diner a big ol swan toy and all it cost me was 24.00 and that was counting shippping.. |
Yes, waiting, shopping, Yorkietalk, and multiples are the bane of my existence!!! |
When Samantha was 10 months old, we went to the U.S. and I took an extra empty suitcase just for all the things I knew I was going to buy for her! There's not much available here in Egypt, but she's 6 years now and I always bring her a stuffed toy when I travel and get someone to bring her a new toy for her birthday from the the U.S. |

I dont know of alot of reputable breeders around here that would let a puppy go at 7-8 weeks of age... I got my puppy from a crappy breeder and she still held her till she was 12 weeks old and wouldnt let me get her 1 day earlier.. I do know that Cape Cod Yorkies just had two litters, she has posted them on this website... I believe one of those litters had really tiny babies... I stink at searching , but if someone else on here can find it they can direct you to her post.. the parents look very cute and she is local, which would mean you would have contact with the breeder and know exactly where your puppy came from !!! You all are so cute! I do have to say this thread is a little scary to me! I do see most of you are fairly new members who just got a baby or are waiting non to patiently to get yours! I was the SAME way when I got my boys! I wish I had found Yorkie Talk before I bought my boys and got more advice and knowledge. My boys were 9 weeks old when I picked them up, too young to be away from their mommy! They suffered from seperation anxiety and still do to a certain degree. I cannot recommend more highly to buy your dog from a local breeder where you can go and look at the living conditions, see the parents with your own eyes. A breeder saying AKC registered pups does not mean they are a good breeder. Also Tiny pups can come with many many health problems. You want to look for a pup in the standard range of 5 - 7lbs. Please don't keep breeders who breed toy yorkies, teacup yorkies, etc... in business, don't feed them business. Those 'types' of yorkies do not exsist. The breeder will breed the runts of 2 litters to try to get smaller and smaller pups resulting in poor health and quality. They may be cute, but they may cause you nothing but heartache and a very broke wallet. Knowledge here is key! :) I want to help you all out with any questions or concerns you may have regarding your pups, bringing them home, buying them, breeders, etc... I am also from MA star28c so if I can help you with anything just give me a shout! :) I wish you all nothing but the best of luck, health and happiness with your new furkids when they come home! Yorkies are a joy! I love every minute with my boys! I got extremely lucky given my ignorance when I decided to buy yorkies and my boys are healthy and happy, but next time I buy a dog (any breed really) I'll do much more research on breeders and what is standard/healthy for that breed of dog! Welcome to YT!!! I hope you all find this place fun, informative and useful to you! :) |
We got our Jada from a local breeder. She is a 2 year old 5lb doll. We had her for about 2 months when my husband (who by the way didn't want me to get Jada) said he felt like she needed a playmate. We now have an 11month old biewer Bogie. They love each other to death, sleep together, play together and last night they were sitting on my lap and I looked down and they were licking each other on the face like they were kissing!! It was just so cute. I can say once you have one yorkie you will definitly want another one..as for the shopping for them that just goes along with the territory..i believe its required!!lol:animal36 |

I love Miley's lil size don't get me wrong but you will find that you will love them at any size. I am thiinking of getting another one and i like you want to get one that is Miley's size but i will find a breeder that will keep thepup til he/she is 12 weeks old or even longer if needed. Trust me you won't regret waiting when it comes to the pups health and wellbeing.. Sorry so Long..i'm all talkative today lol |
i'm gettin my little girl from a fellow YTer. she is coming to me at twelve weeks. has given me all kinds of info. and notifies me when there is new pictures and videos she has taken. she has helped me out tremendously and always answers any questions i have. she super nice and the puppies are so cute! before i found her i had ran into all kinds of scams and got to doing some research and came across YT and fell in love with it! im so glad i found this site, if i hadn't i would still be looking for a puppy from the wrong places. Yorkie puppies require a great amount of care, attention, and love. This breed is one that you cannot just place in a cage all day , and forget about . A yorkie puppy is needy , demading, and wants human comapionship all the time. They are a lot of work and very, very fragile. It is hard to wait for the perfect puppy, however , it is imperative to do so, because it means having a healthy, happy puppy growing into a strong, well socialized Yorkie adult in the future. Think ahead , and do what's right for your new , forever , friend. :) |
