I've looked for so long i finally ran up on Robin's post that she had puppies and has family where i live and that she would bring a puppy to me i was so excited! i talked to her and she has always been super nice to me, has worked with me and i talk to her almost everyday. I'm so thankful and grateful for her and YT. You all are amazing people! I'm glad other people love yorkies as much as I do!

Star..Have you seen the doggie strollers yet? I started a thread about it..cause i was thinkin of gettin one..well now i know i'm gettin one..since we are all in the mood to spend money lol..go check out that thread...some have posted sites where you can get one..talk about cute..

My babies are a year and a half and the other is a year and 3 months. they are very close it is a joy to watch them together. the only thing was trying to get them to focous on me for training instead of eachother... so I had to completely separte them and train them! But its like your kids its alot of work and alot of reward.

Check out the YT breeder section and see if anyone have babies avail this is one of the most reputable places i can think of if you are looking to find a new baby. Just be sure to ask a million plus questions!

WHEW! I thought I was the only impatient one here! Like many of you, I am waiting to bring home my two baby girls in early October. I'm so glad I found YT, so much good advice in one place. I had a yorkie/maltese mix many many years ago, so I am so looking forward to having to yorkies in the house. I've got names picked out... or at least I think I do. That changes from day to day. My poor husband thinks I'm nuts! I haven't gone crazy buying stuff just yet, only a few toys, but I spend hours looking around on YT as well as other doggie related sites, picking out things I will purchase after I bring the girls home.

i went back and forth on two names until i found which dog i was getting.
then i knew right away what to name her. =]
wait until about the middle of september, then the crazy shopping mode will hit you! lol;)

OMG this is so true! I'm glad I'm not alone on this journey! I want to shop shop shop and its hard not to, but I will wait until it gets a little closer to the time I can bring them home.

yea there so cute i will be gettin one however im feeling really sad i can just cry..
i just was chatting with some of the other Yt people and after i gave then the place i bought my babie from they said the place is not a good place for good breeders
and i could end up with a dog from a dog mill the company sells dogs for breeders
and some people on here look at the site i sent then and they said it dosnt look good
now im sad and i dont no what to exspect on the 3rd of sept when i go to greet this little guy will he be a well taking care of puppy or a mess because hes been in a puppymill oh god only thing i can do is pray hes healthy so please pray hes healthy i cant believe this happen

it really is! i've already gotten several things for my little one.
i just tell people im going to be well prepared when she gets here.:rolleyes:

Star..don't worry and don't be sad. You could end up with a yorkie healthier then all of ours put together..I wouldn't worry unless you have to ok..Right now all u need to do is be thinking of bringng yourlil guy home and having lots of funwith him.

i'm gettin my little girl from a fellow YTer.
she is coming to me at twelve weeks.
has given me all kinds of info. and notifies me when there is new pictures and videos she has taken.
she has helped me out tremendously and always answers any questions i have. she super nice and the puppies are so cute!
before i found her i had ran into all kinds of scams and got to doing some research and came across YT and fell in love with it!
im so glad i found this site, if i hadn't i would still be looking for a puppy from the wrong places.

Ditto! This site has been most helpful and although I will be a "new" Yorkie owner I have owned a Silky many years ago. It's an exciting time and although I can't wait, I believe everything will turn out wonderful. :)

i haven't owned a yorkie but i have several other dogs.and have done lots of research. i know that you can never be prepared a hundred percent on anything though. its very exciting isn't it??

I'm getting a male at 12 weeks or maybe a little bit older when the breeder feels he's ready. You're right, one can never be prepared 100%, but it is exciting!

Hey Star28, there is a breeders section on here and there are a few breeders, you should go and read some of the posts where litters were just born and start chatting with some of the breeders. If you want to get a little girl by Christmas, now is not a bad time to start looking around for pregnant females through a good breeder (like someone on YT), by the time the pups are born and they are 12 weeks old, we'll be right around Christmas. Its so sad, but Christmas is only 4 months away! :) Summer is quickly coming to an end.

Since you are thinking 2 pups in winter weather, you are probably ... no definately... going to have to pee pad train them. These little tiny pups cannot go outside in the bitter MA cold to do their business at such a young age. Their paws freeze in a matter of seconds and it's heartbreaking to see them suddenly sit and start whining in pain. My boys love the snow, but 5 mins is their limit in it and that happened over time, not when they were tiny pups, they were pee pad trained indoors first. You'll be fine though! And you'll be happy YOU don't have to go out in the frigid weather either! :)

All of your post are touching my heart. I am in waiting to find/get my furbaby girl and reading these post is giving me so much inspiration. I too have started shopping for items that she will need and things that I WANT her to have, like a play pen, stroller, car seat...LOL I have read a few books and I'm so GRATEFUL for finding this website. This site is very addictive and helpful. :)

You know that happened to me too and I did alot of research, luckily my baby was fine and still is, best wishes to you and your little one.... please let us know how he is when he comes and I think you said he will be only 8 weeks? be sure to watch that he is eating and how much my baby came that young and I know (now) that a good breeder will NEVER let a yorkie go before 10 weeks anyways when they are that young they don't always do well on food yet so have some soft food on hand and get karo syrup, my vet had me give it to my puppy every 4 hours because he had severe low blood sugar, I went to walgreens and got a baby medicine (oral) syrine from the pharmacist (they will give it to you free) also have pedialyte on hand just in case he is dehydrated, if you grab his skin over his shoulders and it a little time to go back to normal when you let go he is dehydrated give him pedialyte every 2 hours until his skin is going back quickly like your skin does when you pinch it. I am sorry but hopefully this will help and if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask I spent a fortune when my baby came in vet bills because he was from the mill, but I pray it will be different for you. Can i ask who your breeder is?

;) I think two is WAY better than one for sure! They are double the fun and double the love! And they keep eachother company and play time is extra fun!!!!! :D

We got our puppy at 8 weeks, and he is totally fine.

The vet checked him out thoroughly and aside from an underbite, he's never had any problems that you mention. he's a happy little puppy.

I'm not sure what a "good breeder" is supposed to do or not do, but we met our breeder and they were the nicest family ever. They loved those puppies like their very own.

I've made a post requesting a YT identification on our Yorkie, and when it's approved? Check it out. It shouldn't be long now (this forum)
