| ![]() So I have made an observation since I have had Ben and I wanted to know if this is the same for everyone or for all yorkies. Bens tail is docked like most yorkies, so there isnt much to it, But I notice while I am playing with him like tug of war or fetch he will wag his little tail. But like when I come home and he sees me or when I am getting his food he dosent wag his tall. I know that most dogs that have a long tail are wagging it all of the time, like when they are excited or happy. Do your yorkies wag their tail? |

| ![]() Mine wag their tales. It is much more apparent on Rocky as he has shorter hair. Ben has floor length hair and he really has to wag for you to notice his plume move. But Rocky's little nubbin is constantly on the go. ![]()

| ![]() My yorkie and rat terrier both have docked tails and they always wag their tails (or as we call them, their "nubs") when they are happy or excited. No different than my 2 with long tails ![]()

| ![]() Tinky wags her tail when I greet her in the morning, play with her, give her food, when guests and doggies come over, and when she's really happy. Sometimes, her tail just kind of freezes in mid air while wagging if she's confused.

| ![]() My 3 aren't so into the tail wagging thing either, Rachel. Although they are exuberant when we come home, Boo's about the only one who'll wag his tail at that time. But that's not to say they don't use them to express their feelings. They'll stick them straight up in the air when they are excited. Dropped down when sad or worried. Half-mast when meeting someone or something new and not too sure. Gracie Ruth does a slow lazy swish when she's content. My kids are all very vocal, so perhaps they don't think to use 'the other end' to express themselves. ![]()
