YT 500 Club Member | I Wish I Could. So my mom and sister are taking the furbuts for their midday walk today when this woman walks upto them and asks if we want two more Yorkies. Apparently her freind has a 4 year old girl and 5 year boy whom she needs to rehome due to work comitments. They're brother and sister, she said she thinks shes giving them away, but not sure. I of course want to go get them immidiatly but realistically I have enough on my hands with the two I have. But I cant help worrying whats going to happen to these two little babies. I mean, who just walks up to complete strangers and offers them dogs. You dont know what is going to happen to them, I dread to think what kind of people they are if they'd just give them away to just anyone. |

| Maybe she approached them because your babies looked so happy and well cared for. I hope those two she was talking about find a good forever home. |

| Maybe she saw how well cared for your two were and thought they'd have a good home with you (or your mom & sister)? At least that's what I hope she had in her mind.

YT 500 Club Member | I really would have loved to take them, I still do. I live in what is still a relitivly small village and I'm known more for my Yorkies than for me. People think its abnormal for me if they dont see me with my furkids, so I kind of suspect some-body may have pointed her in our direction. Honestly if it were up to me I'd soon have a houseful, fortunatly I have the voice of reason living here with me in my mother. I think if there had been just one I might have managed, but not the two and they want them to go together. I think my mom worries that once you say yes once soon every-one suddenly thinks you can take on every pup out there. Just hope they go to some-one who'll take good care of them. |

No Longer a Member | A compliment only.....but sad for them I would take that as a compliment if someone asked me to take their yorkies for free because I would feel they know that I am a good person who loves and owns a yorkie and have yorike knowledge I would feel very sorry for them though for having to give up their own baby yorkies for whatever reason I would feel proud I was asked I would treat it professional with a signed paper as well Nadalia Quote:

| That was my thought too! Although I can't imagine doing that -- actually I can't imagine rehoming dogs you have had for 4 and 5 years -- but if you have to do it, probably better to actually observe how someone is interacting with their own pets before offering them. Hard to tell when you advertise if people are what they say they are.

YT 500 Club Member | Thats the thing though, I wasn't there, my mom was. I really want to help these little guys and was thinking we could perhaps take the bitch as my boy Alfie probably wouldn't be too happy with another male at home. One of my neigbours is our local postman so I've mentioned it to him and I know several people who've expressed intrest in having a Yorkie after meeting my two, so I'm going to start asking these people if they'd be interested. Most of them are older, retired people so they'd have plenty of time to take care of him or them and I could keep an eye on them. I'm really trying to find a solution to the pups situation. If not for my two I'd have taken them in an instant but when you have an established pair you have to try and do whats best for ever-one. |

YT 500 Club Member | Just spoke to the lady who approached my mom, apparently the reason she came over was these two dogs are very tiny, according to her one is only 1lb 9oz and the other not much bigger. She's phoning me back tomorrow after she has spocken to her freind who has the dogs. After seeing Rosie she realised we had experience with tinies and thought we would be the best kind of people to take them. I'm getting kind of exited. |
