Sorry I stepped out for lunch... Yeah he's neutered. He was 5 years old in May. I don't know why he does it UNLESS it's because he doesn't like a dirty pee pad and it gets too full at night (i do change it before bed) and he could also be marking. I just don't want to do damage to him IF i make him hold it and he really has to go. Maybe I should get his bladdar checked JUST to make sure he's ok. He's always had this problem since he was a baby. Quote:

I have Egyptian rugs that can't be steam cleaned (dry clean only). I used Rug Doctor Urine Eliminator with enzyme action and it really works to eliminate stains and odor and they're really 'gone for good' as they say. |
cleaner! I'm still boasting about FIZZION:D. This stuff is super amazing!!!!! |
i'm going to petsmart after work today and will get something! at least i know they all work! i have to get to the root of what's going on tho. i think i'll get a bladder test done. pray that bailey doesn't have anything wrong with him! |
ooo i totally will, i really hope it's not anything with the bladder, hope he's just healthy and maybe he's just marking or not adjusting to night time potting yet... good luck friend!! :) |
Petzyme worked great for new spots, not as great for older ones. I finally called a professional to come in and for $75 I was happy with my carpet again. Not thrilled, but happy. If I put my face right down on the carpet, I can still faintly smell it. But before I could smell it if I was even nearby, especially on humid days. |

Another cleaner, I use for inbetween shampooing is Spot Shot. I works great and no scrubbing required! I have no pee pee smell in my house. Spot Shot is at Wal-Mart for about $4.00 a bottle. If you have a Sam's Club, you can get a 3 pack for about $7.00. It is a miracle cleaner IMO! |

I think the crate training is a great idea. With our puppies we introduced them to it slowly. Gave them treats and a lot of praise. We never use it for pinishmet but rather as a safe spot for them. When they want to relax and be left alone they go in their crates by themselves. Also it is crate for when we have someone over or are doing something... They sit quitely in their crates. :) I've heard because they are den animals they find it to be a safe area. We use the wire crates so they can see around and it is the best thing ever. As far as the cleaner I think Natures Miricle is what most use. What ever you use make sure it has the enzymes in it. Oxyclean will make it LOOK clean but in order for your pup not to go back to the area make sure it has the enzymes in it. :) I have also tried the one that Animal Planet recommends. I forgot what it's called but we have like 10 bottles of it just in cause. We use it to also clean the pups things because it is non toxic. They sell it at Target in the carpet cleaner isle. It is yellow with blue writing. :) works great for us. :) |
I have used pet force it has worked pretty well |
I don't believe in crate training, but I do believe in using expen's. They work great! I think restricting the amount of space they have to "free roam" really helps. An expen isn't TOO restrictive, and they still have room for a bed or crate, food/water and their peepads. Missy was trained very easily using this method. Now that she's trained, I leave one section open on her expen and she uses it as "her" space and loves it. :) |
