| You aren't crazy at all, I definitely would have done the same thing. (If I could have convinced my dh). The thought of that poor little baby going to someone who didn't know how to care for her, is just too scary. Bless you for taking her in .

| Just seeing this post for the first time. Crazy is not the word for you, wonderful is. That poor puppy could have gone to someone who had no knowledge of yorkies and who knows what the outcome would have been. Bless you for stepping up and taking care of her. Hugs to you and little Izzy!!!

| What a wonderful thing you did ! Hows the little one doing? Fleas on such a tiny puppy can be very bad So glad the vet took care of that, and you got to save her ! How cute it is that she fits right in with your other yorkies. these babies love to be social. SHe will learn so much just with your other crew there to teach her . My little Shih Tzu pup now thinks she is a Yorkie Suzi has been a wonderful role model ! LOL .

| I hope Izzy has a good exam. I would have and have done the same thing. My Bella who is now 5 yrs. old came to us at 5 weeks old. Yes, 5 weeks old. The breeder had a whole litter and did not care who got them and just wanted them gone. Bella was the last one and sick when I got her. Like you I took her because I knew she would have died with someone else. We did not pay much for her. Really nothing. She was head to toe in fleas and bites. The vet said had I not gotten her right then and there and had I not taken her home and dipped her in Dawn Dish Detergent to get rid of the upward of 100 fleas on her she would have been dead by the next morning. Sometimes we have to do what we have to do. Good luck with Izzy. Elaine |

| I wanted to let everyone know that Izzy did really well over the weekend. She has some major separation issues, but I think that she will get through them. I put a small harness on her with bells so that I would know where she is at all times. She has been sleeping in the bed with me at night, right under my chin. I don't mind because I know how much she misses her mom. Last night, she actually even played and barked at the other Yorkies I have. I get to give her a bath tonight. The vet said to wait 48 hours after the Revolution treatment so that it didn't get washed off. I can't wait to give her a bath. After the bath, I plan to take some pictures. She is really dark in color, so her official name is Lisa's Isabell Chocolates. She is eating well now and drinking and you know what that means, potty everywhere. I am very lucky to have found and rescued her. I think that with time, she will be alright. If I could just get used to the crying when she is away from me (more than 10 feet) then I will be alright. It's breaking my heart. I wish that I could take her to work with me, but that is a big no no. Well, time for me to go give her some loving and then go to work. Thanks everyone. I will post pics to this thread so that you can all meet Izzy. |
