| Doggie Daycare Hi Everyone, I have had my baby girl for a few weeks now and feel so guilty when I leave her. I am considering putting her in doggie daycare for 2-3 days a week. Does anyone know of a good daycare in the Fort Worth, TX area? Please let me know if you have your baby in daycare also. My husband is having a hard time with putting her in daycare since he is afraid she will get hurt Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | How old is she? Has she completely finished all her shots? Usually required. Check around your area & see/visit for one you & dh are comfortable with. Roxy started at about 5 mo old. Usually 1 afternoon a week. She loves being around other dogs & she's our only child. We take her with us a lot, but we don't fulfill the doggie requirements. She absolutely loves it at daycare. By the time she's been there 4 hrs, she's exhausted. I can watch her on the internet at home. They have webcams. Although there are resting beds, she never uses them or lays anywhere for that matter. She just loves moving around & playing the whole time. All-day dogs have a 2-hr naptime & get fed (if owner wants) around noon. The first several times I took her, she didn't want to go home. She'd pull to go back in. A little hard on my ego, but it was fun watching her have so much fun. So you & dh look around to see if you find one that you both like & comfortable with. Daycare should have someone supervising the dogs at all times. They should also temperment test each dog before allowing them to stay. Good luck on your search. Do you have family/friends who could have play dates during the week? Tell dh it's possible for her to get hurt anywhere/everywhere she goes... even with you. Of course you want to make wise decisions, life is full of risks for everyone... even dogs. Welcome to YT! Lots of help here.

Some daycares require the dogs to be fixed as well..as least the one I take peanut to does..and of course all shots and peanut even had to have an attitude exam!! haha Which is great she doesnt let any mean dogs in there.I am comfortable with leaving him with her!! I honeslty would wait ..being on how old she is.. I would say if she is over 6 months then maybe find her a good daycare, but anything under that I would wait. Just give her toys and make sure when you are home to give her attention..Peanut was home alone alot during his puppy months and he did just fine!!

| My little baby will be 6 months old on September 3rd and she is current on all shots and spayed. We got her from a rescue so she has been around other dogs and think she would really enjoy it. I can see myself getting my feelings hurt if she didn't want to come home due to having so much fun.....that is so funny. She is my first dog so I'm not used to being so attached to a little animal She is so cute I wish I could just take her to work with me.....that would make me feel better. I will be on my way to visit a few puppy daycares in my area and hopefully will find one that works for us. |

| I used to feel so bad about leaving Samantha at home when I went to work that I left the television on for her. I now know (4 years later) that she probably ignored it just like she does now! She goes to day care one day a week and loves it. She had to go through all the same things and meet all the requirements already described. |
