| My baby is a humper. It's true, we've caught her in the act several times. It's funny though, since the object of her "affections" happens to be a toy of my older lab, a medium sized black lab stuffed animal we call "Hendra's baby". Ever since Jo-jo has taken an interest in the toy Hendra has been less and less prone to pick it up. Lol... I'm not too worried about it, but it does strike me as strange for a 13 week old female puppy to be humping anything much less a toy dog. Anyone else have familiar experiences/explanations? Oh and I forgot to mention that since we've put the toy away everytime Jo-jo gets ready to play and thats pretty much solved the problem. Hahaha...she's a baby raper. xD |

| Aw thats so cute. I have learned here that it is not a sexual thing it is a domanance thing. It is a natural instinct that they do. My babies thank goodness have grown out of it. Since they have been "fixed" they don't do it as much. I just say "hey" and distract them with something else. I tell my girls that is not very lady like!!

| Not a sexual or dominance thing at that age....I chalk it up to discovering something feels good to them, she'll outgrow it. Not at all unusual, I've had pups humping at 4 weeks of age.....they know no different, just a discovery thing....just like babies as they grow...

| You're not entirely wrong, If it continues when they're older and spayed/nuetered....it could be a bad habit (that can be readily corrected) or a dominance issue. Canine Behavior is such an intresting study.
