Hate to be a wet blanket too. Could this be another way of keeping track of people to insure that their pet licensing fees are up to date. And breeders, another way to make sure they are filing those monies earned from placing puppies?

Just another way to think about it.

Agree ! U will also have to file your extra money to place a dog ! Lets wait and see, if u r not placing ur furbabies this can work. We need to read the fine print .

I really don't think this bill was to help breeders with a max of $3500 for the year.

Since there are only a couple months left in the year they will have to act quickly to pass the bill or it will have to be re-written.

Am skeptical though. Alot of little bills like this get introduced but not passed.

At this point I think the best strategy would be to write those members of the House Way and Means Committee. Even if they aren't your particuliar states Representative, we should make our voice heard. This Bill will never see the House floor if the Ways and Means Committee doesn't approve it.

Normally I would agree that this probably would not pass but since it is worded to include the effect pets have on mental health, I think it probably will merit serious consideration.
