| doggie daycare question i am going away on vacation with my family!! YAY! i am going to leave yogurt with my boyfriend's friend for a whole week. they have a doggie boarding business, permit and everything, so it is legit. my only concern is that, although they only take care of no more than 3 dogs at once, do i need to take yogurt to the vet prior or after his boarding to give him shots or anything like that? i am worried that he might get something from the other dogs that will be there. am i over thinking or is there standard procedures to go through like taking them to get those banana flavored deworming yumyums and giving them preventative shots? |

| Do they ask that they have any shots prior? Find that out. Please be careful of the Bordello shot. My Buddy's kidney's shut down from this. He also had other shots at the same time. The Bordello shot is for kennal cough. If you have to get any shots, have the Vet give them to Yogurt two weeks apart from any other shots. What I'm trying to say is that additional shots should be given separately. With a good amount of time in between so you can watch for a reaction. |

Thor's Human Donating Member | I would think a reputable place would want a record of his shots, and also want your vet's emergency contact info. Hope you have a great vacay.

| Yes, I would think a reputable place would require proof of vaccinations as well as spay/neuter BEFORE boarding. Bordetella (kennel cough) is what most of these places require in addition to all the other "typical" vaccines. Have a wonderful trip!
