The first yorkie i bought was in 2004. I bought him for my mom who always wanted a yorkie so i just had to buy her one. I wouldn't trade the smile on her face for anything when she saw that little yorkie. She didn't get to enjoy him for very long since she passed away in 2005 so thats how i got my first one. Now i have that one along with 3 more. So its about 5 yrs for me.

I've owned Jackson since December 13th, 2008 so that's 8 months of Yorkie ownership!

I love every bit of him.

My first Yorkie, Dixie, just turned 13 years old. We got her when she was 7 months old so I have had yorkies for over 12 years.

hiya , we got our first yorkie a little boy called ross 20 years ago , sadly he died when he was 9 of a malignant tumour , i thought i would never get over it , and i somehow felt i was being disloyal to him if i got another one i know that sounds silly , anyway we got poppy 2 and a half years ago and she is the most special little girl ,

we love her to bits , i just had to wait untill i felt ready in my heart to get another one and god was she worth the wait , i could not be without her

ross will always have a special place too

I have had Yorkies for almost 25 years. My first one lived 14 1/2 years. I have had Andy for 10 years and 3 months, and Jillie for 2 weeks. Can't see myself with anything but a Yorkie.

Just realised its been 22 years this month. Rambo was supposed to be my moms but bonded with me. Then along came Myshkha, Poppy, Angel, Hope, Chloe and Pippa who we lost aged two due to a heart defect. Now we own two, Alfie and Rosie- for now...

I got my first yorkie in 1983...my second in 1993 and now Pixie...I got her in sept 2007.

wow....so thats 26 years since i got my first yorkie!

I've had Winston about 2 months now...he just turned 5 months Aug 1st and is deff coming into his own personality.
