Do all Yorkies worship their owners?

As I was sitting on the couch yesterday, while my 2 year old son was struggling to get a spot on my lap along side both Jonah and Ksena, I started to wonder if all Yorkies adore their owners. I had to ask myself again this morning, when I woke up to Ksena curled up beside me (hubby forgot to crate them last night and she clears the baby gate at the door of my bedroom) and as I got up, she got up as well and like usual she follows me wherever I go. I then went to the lavatory and both pups were all over me (I usually have a gate up in front of the main bathroom to keep my 2 year old out of Shrek's (my lop's) litter box but because it's time to start potty training my son I moved the baby gate to the doorway to my bathroom and put Shrek in there). Anyway, they were going nuts for me. It really is the cutest thing. Poor Jonah just tried getting over the gate because he wants to get at me but he can't make it over the gate. I'm not sure if it's because I'm home a lot or if all Yorkies are like that. All my animals love me but these two really follow me wherever I go. I don't remember my other dogs following my every move like they do. My husband laughed the other night because Ksena got up from what looked like her sleeping just to be near me when I walked in the room. I have to laugh right now because Shrek is peaking at me from the baby gate...I don't know, are they all like that? I have friends who say Shrek is more like a dog than a rabbit. Just wondering, do your Yorkies follow your every move? I'm also wondering if it's because they're pups? Hoping they won't grow out of it when they get older.

My 3 are the same way. Always following from room to room. Always needing to touch me when I sit down. I love it too, but it makes DH a bit crazy at times. Yogi has to be laying on some part of me when he's chewing on a toy. If I'm up doing stuff he'll find one of our shoes to lay on. If no shoes are available, he'll lay on Boo...poor sweet Boo, he puts up with so much from the pesky little brother.

We have 3 yorkies & one cat....all 4 follow us everywhere. If I'm in a room..all 4 are there. I LOVE it!

I have had other dogs, but none compare or even come close to Nolee's personality. I think it is just yorkies!

Tucker is my little shadow.. he will be sleeping on the couch, sleeping so sound that he is snoring, if I move away from the computer to go to the bathroom or whatever, no matter how quiet I try to be.. he jumps up and follows me. He will sit on the floor in the bathroom while Im in the shower, if I leave the house he will sit at the door whinning and yelping untill I get home and when I pull in the driveway he goes nuts running from my bedroom window (that looks into the driveway) to the front door barking and yipping. He is MY dog. .. but my sheltie is the same way and so is my toy poodle to my husband, she just loves him to peices and gets sad when he isnt around, she will mope around all day waiting for him to get home then when he walks in the door she is one happy girl. I think dogs in general are loyal to thier owners, you treat them with lots of love and they do the same by being by your side all the time.

Tucker is the exact same way, if Im on the couch or somewhere he can be touching me, Tucker is there. .. It drives my hubby batty too at times cause he will come over to get a kiss from me and Tuck will jump up on my lap and get right in my face or my hubby's to get a kiss too lol.. usually my hubby will say ok Tuck you win..

Mine is just a puppy also and he is the same way following me everywhere, always has to be close to me. If I stand still too long there he is laying on my feet, always walking between my feet and now that he knows how to jump on the couch he always wants to be in my lap. My friends and family laugh when I take him somewhere and someone else is holding him because he does not take his eyes off of me the whole time. I love it though and hope he doesn't outgrow it. But it does drive my BF crazy too - I think he is just jealous because he wants Romeo to love him more - he does love him but not like he loves me

It's just one of the things I love about the yorkie breed. That they worship you. They make you feel so loved and give you unconditional love!!

Oh I love these Velcro babies. Sometimes I have to peel my baby off or I wouldn't get anything done.

when I walk around the house I can feel my Zach's nose bumping along the back of my heel as I walk

The two of them will just sit and watch me if I am sitting at the computer or just resting in a chair for hours

I wanted to respond back to each comment (still smiling at each of them) but I figured it'd get a little redundant so I'll comment to all the above. Looks like I'm not alone I love reading all the stories!!!

Some believe most animals if loved will worship you and there are some that believe the Yorkie breed is generally more "magnet" like. Right?

Sugar....ahh Sugar....she has to be TOUCHING me if she's lying next to me in bed or on the couch

If I sit at the computer she will JUMP up and down and whine until I stop to pick her up she has to be lying in her bed ontop of the desk ~Sitting at my feet is sooo beneath her and I LOVE it

i believe this is true in everyones case my boyfriend thought Denzel was simply nosey because he stop whatever he was doing to see what i was doing. but then when Denzel see my boyfriend coming towards my way he make a break to get to my lap. i always laugh at both of them and say "ooohhhhhhh i have two men fighting over me" lol

Both of mine are always right there! If I seat one is on my chest the other on my shoulders. If I go to one room here they both come. No mater what I am doing and where I go I have 2 little shadows right there.
