I'm a candid straight talking person, I'd have to ask her what the h*** is wrong with you torturing that baby like that. These furbabies are really helpless and vulnerable. Thats why we as owners and protectors get them to take "care" of them, not abuse them. Thats horrible, I would have to say something to my friend if she were doing that.

I can understand fully why you are asking if this is BYB. However, you know this is not right whether it is BYB or something else. If you want to be friends with her that is not for me to judge you on or not. However, if you choose to just sit there and not report her, and you do not have to give your name, then when the yorkie mom passes away due to neglect. Just please think of how you will feel because you did nothing. :confused:

makes me so sad for her dog(s). she should not be allowed to own any pets. i also wish she is not able to sell any of her dogs, and have to surrender the dogs to a rescue or just give it away for free. i feel that this is the only way that will stop your friend from making her pet dog into a breeding machine.

otherwise, it sounds like your friend is just going to keep doing it until her dog dies maybe from giving birth to puppies.

I think she is need of some serious mental health care. Our dogs are not meant to be money makers. They should be loved and cared for. They are fraigle loving best friends.

If she's determined not to spend any money, how on earth are those puppies going to survive 10 to 12 weeks before she can make a fast buck? What about vets fees, shots, etc? I'm hopping mad at this kind of behaviour!

God forbid she isn't able to sell the puppies. She doesn't want to spend any money. Will she give them any required care? What kind of condition will the poor babies be in?

Here is the thing.....she does not think anything of what she is doing! She is just excited to have a way to make easy money. She has always been involved in those MLM scams and is trying to find the next money maker! They act like they love the female, I really don't think they think they are hurting her! I also wanted to clarify that she did not know that the dog was still in labor when they went to bed. That is why I told her an xray was so important! And whoever asked about not paying out money for the puppies before they are sold she really doesn't! Her husband docks the tails and they give them the first shots. I do not know how she gets a hold of the shots but I know she has lots of friends that all breed like this. No vet check for them. This current batch is outside in a empty kiddie pool. She does not want them in the house.
Now I need to know how to report her. The humane society? Can I do it without giving my name? I really think she needs to be educated. Who can tell her to leave breeding to the pros? I don't know much about breeding and I don't think she would change if I talked to her. I did tell her she needs to give her female a break for awhile and she said that maybe she would. That maybe she would just get a stud and offer stud service to make money that way :( I said having a male like that will be hard work because they spray all over the house, hump things, and are aggressive. She had no idea! Maybe I should buy her a book?

OMG!:eek: If your original post wasn't bad enough (which it was), the statement above in this post, clinches it. The puppies are being kept outside!!!!!!! I'm afraid to ask how old they are. And as far as the post about "how does she feed them for 10-12 weeks without spending $$$"......somehow I'd be surprised to hear that she in fact does keep them that long; I'm thinking she doesn't. But, I don't know her or know ALL the facts, so I will say no more about her.

If they are being kept outside in the backyard I would be over there in the middle of the night and taking those babies and mama! that is just horrible! I would be calling the humane society AND giving my name I don't care who knew, that is torture and who cares if she knows who called. If you do mind call and give a fake name.

I might agree with some opinions on breeding and I may disagree as well. But some people who try and sell good quality "pets", not show, at least love their dogs. This woman clearly does not even have a bit of love for the dog. To not want to pay a penny on her baby would constitute abuse and neglect and emotional and mental abuse all in a nutshell. Imagine how this dog is surviving with no love? Do your friend a favor. When she's not looking, take that pup and give it to someone on YT. Or offer to babysit and tell her she got out and ran away. She'll never have to worry about spending that ole penny again. And probably for the first time that baby would feel real love, not just little bumps in her belly all the time. How freakin sad this story makes me.

Yes they are outside! The female birthed them in her doghouse and then she moved them all to a kiddie pool so the mom could get in and out but the babies can't. They are under her deck and have been there since they were born. They were born on July 25th. Mom is nursing them and I am sure she will buy some puppy food when they are ready to eat, but she does not want them having accidents on her carpet so they will stay outside. I am going to call the humane society in the morning. What are they going to do? Do you think they will take away her female dog? I am just thinking of her kids :( I really just want someone to talk to her and educate her because she really does not think anything of what she is doing.

How long have you known her. Are you two really good friends.

I agree with everyone. I would sneak in at night and take them. Doesn't she realize that anything could get them (snake, raccoons,bad weather etc). How could anyone be so cruel to such sweet dogs. I doubt that the humane society would do anything. If you care at all just get them out of her hands.

This is just making me sick thinking how that lady is treating her baby and the those poor little babies that is just not right.

OMG!!! I just can't believe how awful your friend is. She's teaching her children to not care about other living things by the way she's being so unsympathic to this poor little baby and her babies.

How can they just cut the babies tails off?! Isn't that a medical procedure that is required by law to be done by a vet? Maybe the human society will be angry over that, but I doubt that they will do a darn thing about the way she's treating this dog.

The SPCA in my area sees a dog as property: if it has food, water and a place to get out of the elements, then they don't do a darn thing. So sickening!

How do you wake up and see feet sticking out of your baby's privates and not rush them to the vet?! She had to be in so much pain and misery all night. How do you just pull it out, with out fear of causing great damage to your baby? What if it was too large and OMG I just can't write anymore.

The humane society probably will only be able to talk to them and try to educate them.It is not the fault of the humane society, it is the fault of the states that make the laws that govern the treatment of animals.If you live in a state where there is alot of hunting and farming the cruelty laws are even more lax.If the humane society tries to take an animal that they feel is neglected they can be held liable in the court of law.Most humane societies can not afford to be sued.Most cruelty laws state an animal has to have adequate food water and shelter.In my opinion a swimming pool under a deck is very inadequate.A hard rain the pool fills up and the pups drown. So sad.

When, omg, when people going to understand that this world is full of bad actions with people with excuses, "she did not know her dog was still in labor" pls...., If you take care proper care of your dog you know what's happening to her, pls don't make excuses for her, to me there's non, she's just an stupid AND cruel person, I really hope somebody is going to take that poor dog away from her

I am soooo sad about this. I guess I am making up excuses for her because I really think she is just mis-informed and really not a monster. She would never let it rain in the kiddie pool and have it fill up with water. She cares at least that much. I know they love their dog, just not the way we love our dogs ya know?
I never realized it was so bad or I would have mentioned this the first timed she bred her dog. Her husband learned how to dock the tails right, he does not just cut them off. I still think it is wrong for him to do it though! She said it would be $25 per pup to do it and they could do it for free.
We have been friends for 8 years and I really like her. She is the cheapest person I know though. Soooooo cheap! She is a great friend I just think she is out to make money by breeding and selling puppies. She is doing it as cheap as she can and it is WRONG! It is wrong to cut corners when it comes to her dog but she does not think she is! I don't know a darn thing about the right ways....I need to find someone who does. The human society will get a call tomorrow and hopefully they will let me know what I can do because I know they cannot be counted on to do anything. I will not go take her dogs away from her, but I promise to do something about it.
Sorry I have upset some of you. It has opened my eyes a lot! I will for sure go visit the pups and just mention how her dog needs to be done breeding, how close she came to dying, and how these pups need 24/7 care not just by the momma, but her too.
I will update you guys tomorrow and let you know how it goes. I live in Utah if that helps with figuring out the laws here.

Wow! I could never have a friend like that and just sit back and listen and watch how the poor mother dog is and has been treated as well as the puppies too. Leaving the poor mother in labor like that and just pulling out the breech pup really took the cake. I have never ever heard of such a thing. This whole thing is just mind-blowing. To say that she doesn't love her dog in the same manner as we do, doesn't even come close to being an understatement.

I myself could never have stood by without having said something or having done something.

I don't know about your state, but here in PA, especially in Lancaster County ( I think because of all of the negative publicity of the puppy mills and public outrage and demands to stop said mills, they're more overly sensitive to this particular problem.) , the Humane League will come out and investigate and if they find any sort of neglect/abuse, especially abuse, they will take the animals and fine the owner.

I really hope for the sake of that poor mother and her pups that she will be removed so that she can be spayed and then her and her babies receive the proper medical care along with new loving homes.
