Can anyone recommend a product that keeps their furbabies occupied? I'm looking for a product/toy that will keep Bailey busy during times that I can't give him my full attention. Do any such product exist? There is nothing in my area, so I would have to purchase online. Thanks for any suggestions! |
I give Apple a bully stick (Merricks), (that I buy at the little boutique store I buy her holistic food and other things) when I really need to get something done...They don't smell too wonderful, when they are new, but the furkids sure do love them!!! |
Look at the thread Best Puzzle Toys for Yorkies There are quite a few discussed there. |
A kitty! lol... Well she is the one that keeps Ranger occupied mostly, haha |
BULLY STICKS! :p I get mine from AMD on here. She has great prices and they don't smell at all! |
Another fur baby...or a kid....LOL! Sorry, I had to... |
Thanks for the suggestions Everyone!..although I was looking for something simpler then a kitty or kid, lol..bully sticks more then likely:D |
Don't know if you can get them in US but Alfie has a dried pigs ear quite regular, no smell just loads of fun for him, and good for the teeth, he never has bad breath or tartar. |
Bully sticks and hide-a -squirrel tend to keep Marley entertained.. then I gave in a bought another furbutt to keep her company.. give it time.. you'll end up wanting another LoL It's not hard to take care of 2.. at least not for me, and they keep eachother entertained.. and I don't feel guilty if I just want to be lazy and watch TV instead of play. |
bullysticks or a kong filled with yogurt or peanut butter then frozen |
yea the kong with frozen yogurt. That is a real good thing. Also how about a hide a squirle (sp) it is to early in the am. lol. Bax loves his and spends quite a long time with it. |

Mommies! lol |
Bully sticks are amazing! 99% of the time they will keep Jackson occupied. I try not to give them to him too much so that when he gets them, they're really special, and will keep him busy. Pig ears as well. However, nothing keeps them more busy than another dog! |
I'd love to have another yorkie, but I am not even suppose to have Bailey in my apt! You can get away with it as long as the animals don't disturb the neighbors:rolleyes: I was going to purchase bully sticks previously, but I had read some thread about yorkies choking, Bailey is so small, and that really concerned me. I am not sure what a hide a squirrel is:p I will have to check out pigs ears as well. Thanks all:) |

Yorkietalk gift exchange slideshow by mypreciouspups - Photobucket I tried finding one at Petco last night but they didn't have one:( |
We use Antlerz since bully sticks give my two the ugly-D. Also puppy kong with the stuff'n is great. |
you can get a hide a squirrel through the petco web site. It is a stuffed stump with 3 little squirrles (they really look like chipmunks) that you put in the stump. And this give the pup a good time playing with them, getting them out of the stump etc. Like I said Baxter is almost 2 and still plays with it. The only bad thing is when they figure out how to empty the stump, you have to keep putting the squirrels back in |

I dunno why, but Bailey can down a 6.5" bully stick in less than 20 minutes! Yikes!!! So, yes, she must be supervised because I take it away from her when it gets down to 1-2" so that she doesn't choke. |
Petco, Petsmart and Walmart all carry Petstages dog toys. These toys keep my dogs and puppies busy for a long time. We also like the kong with peanut butter for dogs. |
I take mine for a 45 minute walk usually twice a day. When we get back home, they get a meal or a snack, and go to sleep for a couple of hours! |

I just wanted to ask you what's going to happen when Bailey starts barking? Yorkies love to bark, and some more then others. My Suzi does only when she hears noises coming from outside, and sometimes when my son coomes in from his room, and startles her. Our 13 week ols puppy is barking too. She is too cute , her tiny little baby bark :p Even when they have pleny of toys dogs will bark > |

I bought Jackson a 12 inch bully stick from Pet Valu a week ago and he's still working on that thing. Him & Carmen (my mom's dog, Rip) have been sharing it all week too and it's still probably about 6 inches! |
We have a kong toylooks like a dumbbell and I stuff the end with a soft treat and Oscar will not stop til it is gone, Keysha stops after awhile, I think she is still to small or loses her attention. There is alot out there, I will look into the squerial thing that sounds like fun. |

I totally agree 100% NEVER use greenies or dentastix. Bad products. https://www.ecoupons.co.uk/show_imag...%2F47101_1.jpg http://www.noahsarkpetshop.com/Treat...nta%20Stix.jpg |
Kong ball with pnut butter My dogs always love to play with their Kong Ball and I put pnut butter inside and it keeps em busy for a little while...haha...they even get mad and start barking at the ball because it moves when they are trying to get the bait out!!! |

I've only had the "chew" version for Uni, and they last about a week, and she is a classified "power chewer". |
