| ![]() Sorry I can't offer any ideas, I have never been out of the US and know nothing of international law but I sincerely hope you can find a way to keep Dolce. Good luck and please stay on YT when you move.

| ![]() Oh guys I am so sorry. I know this is so hard for you and I'm hoping something can be worked out...so glad you put this on here & you never know, maybe one of the ideas may & can pan out for you... We can clearly see how much you love your baby and would love to see that you get to keep him. I was thinking also maybe someone fostering for a short time or someone I think mentioned finding a military based home that would be willing to do it... Oh what a tough situation...I'm so sorry & wish you the best of luck!

| ![]() I'm a newbie to Yorkie Talk and an Australian-Australia has some of the strictest quarantine laws in the world and in my opinion an unnecessary amount of red tape. I can understand the need to keep the country Rabies free but you would think that sometimes common sense would prevail. Lots of dogs come here from the US and although the quarantine used to be very harsh (I think at one time it was six months!!) I believe it is much easier now. There are dogs coming in from all over the world-including mainland Europe. I will ask on the Aussie dog forums as there are lots of people who have imported from overseas-this is a very sad situation and hopefully there will be a solution. |

| ![]() Have posted on the Oz dog site and had a look at the AQIS web site-if you did have him fostered Hawaii would be the best bet, only 30 day quarantine from there, the web site is www.aqis.gov.au and all the information is there, will post again if any useful information comes from the aussie site. |

| ![]() Have had a couple of replies and it seems the only solution is 6 months residency in an approved country-I'm pretty sure the quarantine from U.K is only 30 days now. Lots of toy show & pet dogs go thru the quarantine and handle it very well and owners are allowed to visit, I think the care in quarantine is very good according to feedback from owners. anyway best of luck with whichever choice you make. |

Yorkie Yakker | ![]() WE have decided that One of Dolce's Daddies will leave to go back to Australia (ME) while Dolce's other daddy stays behind until we can aford to continue with having to go to another country which AUSTRALİA approves of. We have decided not to foster him out as we feel that this will effect him on a deeper level..... I know that I would hate to be moved around from home tot home and have get used to new people that I don't know....thinking why my famiy left me with these people and why!!!! So for now that's where we are with this all.....and of course should Australia update their conditions we will have the family back together again ![]() It a huge sacrifice but we pray that it will be worth it ![]() Oh and I will do my best to bring this all to the attention of the Australian public some how....but knowing some of the attitudes of some Aussies I doubt I will make much of a difference ![]() ciao and thank you all so much for you support ![]()

| ![]() Although very hard for the Daddies, it would be harder on you both & Dolce to give him up. I think you made a good decision. Best of Luck.
