It's hard to tell. They seem to have completely different ear set but that could be because he was holding them down in the one picture. Also that they are offering a 500 reward but the found dog wasn't in good shape. It also appears that the missing dog has a clothes line as a leash, maybe to tie him in the pick up. UGGH!! |
I do agree about the ear set, that was the first thing I noticed, however, like you said as well .. it does look to me as if they are being held down in the OP's photos. I do think when dogs are missing for a while, they tend to deteriorate quickly. Especially the Yorkie breed. I know if I don't brush Gucci for a day it's all bad. If he were to go missing I know that in a week he'd be in horrible shape with little to eat, getting dirty and not being brushed and getting wet and into lord knows what. His nails would be the only sign that he was someone's dog.. and that's only if he was missing for less than 2-3 weeks. For instance had Gucci gone missing just after he was sick, Oh my! People would think he was so uncared for .. I didn't brush him for 2.5 weeks because he had kennel cough so badly and I just wanted to cuddle him and mess with him as LITTLE as possible. It's just so hard to judge, I know if it were my dog I'd want him back and I'd be missing him and heartbroken. Now for the clothes line I just don't know  Quote:

i think the condition he was found in could be from how long he has been missing and how far he has gone from where he went missing...i just know that firsthand what that family is going through...for i am still living that nightmare with Yoshi. |

Very Nice of You Hope that little fellow finds a good home, that was very nice of you for what you had done for him , Wished I lived closer I would take him. |
Ooh...This is a tough one...you guys bring up some good points (pick up, clothes line) but I hate to be so judgemental on someone I don't know...I just don't know... Maybe if the op wants to contact the craigslister and ask what pet store they bought him from, that may tell it since the microchip traces back to it(even though it's no longer in business)...that'll put an end to that quickly... High praises for both of you for saving this little guy! |

Gets guys sorry for the late response just to clear things that add on craigs list is a close match but I had already seen the add and had contacted the owner and no this is not there dog. Trust I tried everything to find his owners but to be honest it looks to me like he was a neglected pup from the conditions he was in. So now that I know for sure I won't find the owners but I did find second to that which is yorkie rescue |
I figured you may have talked to them already :( You truley have a kind heart for doing what you are doing for this little guy :) I am sure he will find a fantastic home. Quote:

If the poster feels reluctant to give him for free and worried about the person taking him in, she can always ask for the money that she paid to the vet. I hope whoever takes him will let us know how he is doing. |
